I am having issues with getting the seal tight on my thermometer. I have a 10 gallon SS brew tech pot and an Anvil thermometer. I am guessing the threads on the Anvil thermometer are NPT type; As I can only tighten to a point but it does not seal the hole, even using the plastic washer and silicone gasket. I guess I could use a washer to build out NPT stub but I am not the best a finishing work so if anyone has any suggestions as to the best way to build out the NPT stub.
