This is my first post but I've been visiting this forum for some time. I just wanted to share my first attempt at growing hops:

These are Cascade, Golden, Nugget and Chinook plants. I planted a variety to see which ones thrived in this climate. They are about 5 weeks old and are in 5-gallon buckets. I made my own soil from composting kitchen waste, yard trimmings and coffee grounds. The hop rhizomes are from "Thyme Garden":
