Weird looking yeast

I harvested some yeast and cleaned it about 10 times. It has been sitting In the refrigerator for close to 2 months untouched and today I noticed it looks really weird on top. I think it looks like something came out of the yeast cake. Take a look and let me know what you think please.

Is it an English strain? I've had some S-04 that looked all chunky gross after washing before.

It use to be completely flat, it's Nottingham ale yeast.

Yep, looks like chunky British yeast then.

i would buy a new packet of nottingham. you probably picked something up when you "cleaned it 10 times". next time just pour the slurry right into the sanitized container and seal, skip the "cleaning".

Also, when you store you want to fill the final container as full as possible to limit the head space and the oxygen it contains.
