Have you ever wondered if your dream water has the potential to exist in the real world? If it has the potential to exist, it can potentially be made, but if it does not have the potential to exist it simply can't be made to exist. It's as simple as that. This spreadsheet calculator allows you to play "what if" and determine if your dream water can be made to be real or not. If the Cation mEq's/L and Anion mEq's/L of your dream water are within about 2% (or more ideally, if they are identical) in value, then some combination of available minerals added to good RO, or distilled, or DI water should likely be able to duplicate/create it.

The calculator then goes well beyond this and permits the mixing of any two "real" waters (typically as for "source" and "dilution" waters, but other options are up to you) whereby to assess the blended waters analyticals. It can also be used whereby to confirm that your lab analyzed water has what are to be considered overall legitimate values.

Download at the Google Drive link seen below (by pressing the "down arrow" seen next to the printer icon in the upper right hand corner) and then launch and run in Excel or LibreOffice Calc.

This spreadsheet has been updated, and also bug fixed. Download is as seen above.

With the update the spreadsheet now indicates directly to you whether you have a good check, meaning your waters mineral profile has the potential to be "real" (or in other words, to actually be made), or a bad check, meaning the current water profile "dream" is over, and it's time to try dreaming again.

PS: I'm currently working on integrating this spreadsheet into 'Mash Made Easy'.
