I'm a retired physician in SW Oregon delving into growing hops for the first time. I have 120 bines; 60 Cascade, 30 Cenntenial and 30 Columbus. My field looks great but I have two questions.
The Cascades seem so much more vigorous than the other varieties. Reason?
I have a very difficult time selling my hops. They are organic, very healthy, packed in shrink bags and frozen. I have about 1000 oz from last year and the year before. I have even offered them to small local brewers for free or in trade for some beer, just to get my name recognized. Everyone seems to be using pellets for consistency. Any marketing ideas?
