I got a Frigidaire dorm fridge, its the Lowes exclusive and a common keggerator conversion. I decided to be fancy and have an electronic temp controller.

However, one thing I didn't see mentioned in any post, is that the locking mechanism drops about an inch under the key hole. When I cutout the hole for the temperature controller, I found about 1/4" of the bottom of the lock. My work around for this was to partially close the lock. It doesn't engage, but it leaves enough room for the controller. :ban:


So, for future reference, for anyone doing this mod, mount the controller about 1.5" below the lock, and you'll be safe.
