Hello,
I bottled a mead last night after adding 1 pound of priming honey to a 10 gallon batch of mead. It's a low alcohol mead being at about 6-7% alcohol. I was using the guiding principle of about 10 g/l priming sugar for a mid range sparkle. This I figured was about 12 g/l honey.
This brought my mead up to about a 1.006 SG as it went into the bottle. It tasted sweet, but not that sweet. Is this going to produce carbonation in the bottle? If so, how much do you reckon? If not, how much more sweet should I add to a 1 liter bottle to get a decent sparkle to the mead?
Thanks a lot
