bottling from a growler, how much priming sugar?

So recently, I started doing test batches with different dry hops in growlers. Now I want a bottle of them but I had not thought through how much priming sugar to use. Has anybody done this?

    ESB using WLP-002

Final Gravity is reading 1.018 and holding. I don't taste "buttered popcorn". But I'm a worry wort with only a little over one year brewing under my belt.

    ESB using WLP-002

So I've taken two FG readings to see it I'm ready to rack it and when I check the temp after taking the hydrometer reading it says 54°, will this be a problem? Should I rack it and move it upstairs from my basement to essentially do a diacetyl rest once in secondary? Thermometer read 66° when...

    Cooling Wort

Thank you everyone! I will continue with my ice bath method, and allow the wind chill to aid in cooling! Snow is a non factor, as we haven't really had much in central PA this year.

    Cooling Wort

I am brewing tonight, and I had an idea about cooling my wort. I have not yet invested in any wort chiller, and still use the ice bath. My idea, is that (since it will be a wind chill of 18 tonight and I brew outside) that I take my Brewers Best bucket, stick it in ice and pour the wort from...

Zero To Sixty In Eight Months

So, this might show how naive I am, but did you turn a regular cooler into a temp controlled ferm chamber in the second and fourth pictures? I really want to start lagering, but don't want to buy a fridge just for that.

I bottled a Bell's best brown ale clone from byo mag and cracked one today after 10 days. Seems sweet (not malty) took a gravity reading and it's 1.02 what happened? FG at bottling was 1.016

Late night brewing causes early morning stupidity

Oh, and I also pushed the bung in pretty far on the carboy with new batch, and in trying to get it out tonight broke the airlock.

Late night brewing causes early morning stupidity

So I moved my brown ale to secondary and racked black IPA onto yeast cake at like 1:00 this am. Just went to check fermentation this morning and didn't see any (thought I should being on a yeast cake) so I gave it a swirl. DOH! Swirled the brown ale that has been in primary for two plus weeks...

American IPA Bell's Two Hearted Ale Clone (close as they come)

Where are you buying your ingredients porky_pine? That is very cheap for the grains, let alone, yeast and hops.

    wort chilling idea

So, an idea I have had for a while but am not sure how it would work is this. Using food grade (similar to siphon tubing) tubing; run it through a chest cooler full of ice (two 16 lb bags) and replace drain plug with a ball valve. You could control flow rate keeping worth in ice cooler longer to...
