American Porter Edmund Fitzgerald Porter Clone

Turned out great. Thanks again for your recipe version. Cheers.

American Porter Edmund Fitzgerald Porter Clone

I brewed up the this posts version a couple years ago and it turned out great. This time around I decided to give your version a go this weekend and it’s happily bubbling away in the basement. I ended up using WLP013 London Ale yeast for my batch. I’ll keep you posted on how it turns out. Cheers.

    American Brown Ale

Never got around to it. Tough getting in brew days with a toddler running around. Glad to hear your batch turned out good. I’ll keep this one on the wishlist. Cheers.

    American Brown Ale

No worries! I appreciate the suggestion. If it seems too hoppy I could just dial it back if needed. I was looking to go for more of an American Brown. Thanks! :mug:

    Festbier BierMuncher's OktoberFAST Ale (AG)

Where I keep it in my basement stays steady around 68-69 F.

    Festbier BierMuncher's OktoberFAST Ale (AG)

Kegged my 2nd try at this recipe after fermenting for 5 weeks. This time around I used WLP029 german ale/kolsch yeast and it turned out great. Much dryer (OG: 1.058 FG 1.009)and slightly less "fruity" flavor compared to last time with S-04. I think I'll stick with WLP029 for future batches. Cheers.

    American Brown Ale

Resurrecting this one from the depths. Have you changed this much from your original recipe? Looking to brew a nice brown ale to be ready around thanksgiving. Cheers.

Specialty IPA: Red IPA India Red Ale

I did my first wet-hopped brew last year with my hops and it did have a little bit of that "veggie" flavor to it. I might still go for it on this one. Thanks for the response. :mug:

Thinking of wet hopping this with my homegrown cascade hops....anyone tried doing that to this recipe before?

    Hodge Podge Black IPA

Damn it..........it turned out great. Finished off at 1.016 so abv is about 6.8%. Highly recommend giving this a go.

    Hodge Podge Black IPA

Brewed it up this past Saturday and hit 1.068 for my OG so it may not come out quite as high in the abv as I initially thought, but I'm okay with that.

    Hodge Podge Black IPA

Brewday got pushed back until this weekend due to life. I'll keep you posted. Cheers.

Winter Seasonal Beer Beard Mountain Winter Ale - Cold Mountain Clone

I never got back to this one this year. But if you do, abosolutely back off on the whatever you use for the spice. Let us know how it turns out!

Winter Seasonal Beer Beard Mountain Winter Ale - Cold Mountain Clone

Go for it! I now agree on the extract. Next time around I'm either going to barely add any or go with what you suggested. It came out a little too in your face this first time around. I may also try and beef up the grain bill to make it a little more malty and even more flavorful.

American Pale Ale Lake Walk Pale Ale

I think I will stick with what I've done in the past. Especially since conan is slightly difficult to find here in the midwest and I don't have time to wait for it to arrive via the interwebs. My brew days have to be scheduled out in advance for the time being with my 2 month old boy at home :)

What difference did you get with the Conan?

American Pale Ale Lake Walk Pale Ale

I've brewed this recipe a few times now with the Amarillo/Simcoe hop combo and it's turned out great each time. Just curious if anyone has tried other hop combos for this recipe. Thinking about changing it up this time around. Cheers. :mug:
