Who keeps a secret cash stash?

IMO, the only time you should use cash is if you are buying where a credit card is not accepted...like meeting your "guy" in a dark ally to support you "habit". Other than that, any legal purchase should be done with a credit card. I normally get anywhere between $250 and $1000 CASH each year...

    Brewing with new neighbors.

Personally, I find them more of a nuisance than anything. Maybe I am just non social, but my brew days are very relaxing to me and it gives me time to collect my thoughts and just do my own thing. I find when the neighbors come over to watch or join, I end up answering question after question...

Founders Breakfast Stout banned in NH, uggh!

The label will grow on you. Once you try the beer...you will look for that label every September. I think we should get t-shirts made.

    My Founders Brewing Co Story

They crush up an "insane" amount of cashews and introduce them in fermentation vessels and the maple barrells they age it in.

    My Founders Brewing Co Story

...Or did you take this thread personally? Jeez...it’s still going? 9 pages later? I posted over 2 weeks ago that they replied back to me with actual information about the process rather than a canned response. My response to them must have been "gold" since it worked...and by the way, they...

List your favorite local breweries (GABF planning)

Living in the Metro Detroit area I am blessed with lots of awesome craft breweries here in MI. The ones I would chose from the list are... Kuhnhenn - You have to try DRIPA (I think it won gold for IPA in the GABF last year, May have been WBC though). They also have a great Vanilla Java Creme...

    My Founders Brewing Co Story

Unfortunately, they didn’t bottle the Cashew Mountain Brown. It was only available in their tap room and at a few local beer fests. They did recently bottle a different "Mountain Brown" beer called Frangelic Mountain Brown. Made with hazelnuts and hazelnut coffee. It was their last release in...

    Harvesting yeast from bottled beer

I used the regular 1/2 cup DME to 2 cups water for my starter...then added the dregs from 6 bottles.

    Harvesting yeast from bottled beer

Just curious, how long did this take to kick off? I have dregs from six bottles of bell THA in a starter right now, been about 48 hour and no signs of activity...

    My Founders Brewing Co Story

I thought you would all like to see the response I recieved from my follow up with Founders. Even though they did not provide me with too much additional information, at least my questions were acknowledged and some actual information given. Ryan, Thanks for your support of Founders. The...

Can I brew for my wedding?

My suggestion, enjoy your day. Leave the beers to the catering company or reception hall. See if they can order up a few cases of your favorite brew to serve to your guests along with their normal selection. You will have WAY too many other things to worry about in the coming weeks and SWMBO...
