    Coriander and orange wheat beer

I haven;t been on this forum for sometime but I saw this. I been brewing wheat extract for years. I always rack it a 2nd time in a carboy and that gets the trub out. I saw a lot of guys don't rack a 2nd time but I am a firm believer of this. Been brewing since 1995.

    Extract Kits

I needed some parts for my corny kegs and since I was paying shipping anyway I tacked on a few kits from Northern Brewer. Everyone loved the Caribou Slobber and Irish Red that I brewed. Good and simple kits.

    Caribou Slobber additions

I brewed the Slobber 2 times. Bottled one and kegged the other. I had a family picnic on July 14th and the keg of Slobber was drained along with a keg of Cherry Wheat. I got rave reviews on both and maybe some future home brewers to boot. Just make it the way it is and be patient like they tell...

Figured I would ask and share these pics

Thanks for the info....As you can see in the background, I have a greenhouse but growing hops is all new to me. Never to old to learn though. Thanks again.

Figured I would ask and share these pics

Being a long time brewer from the mid 90's and then a 13 year lay off (stupid move on my part) until last October and now being a first time hop grower this year, I figured I would show you how I decided to kill two birds with one stone. Trellis/ hop hammock...:rockin: My question is...

    Caribou slobber

I brewed this twice. Kegged one batch and bottled the other. Both came out fine. I am not a big fan of brown ales but this one sort of grows on you. I let a few friends try it and some loved it and some are like me, good but not my first choice. Strictly a preference in taste. I went by the...

    Frost in NE

A simple piece of cloth, like a old towel over top of it will be fine. That's what I did. Buckets are great too but I don't have that many buckets..:)

    Raspberry Extract

I brew a lot of wheat beer either flavored or unflavored. I use 4 oz to 5-6 gallons. I host a monthly poker game where we send guys to Vegas to play in the WSOP. Here is a part of the email one player sent me today regarding our game this Saturday. I gauge on how good my beer is by what others...

    Hops and deer

I live in Pa. and I am thinking about planting some hops this spring. I have a lot of deer here. Does anyone know if they like hops or the plant itself?

    Flavored beer...

I brew a lot of wheat beer with the raspberry flavoring. The guys loved it at my last poker game. I always put it in right before I bottle. I use the entire bottle and it always comes out great. At least for me but everyone's taste is different.

    Here's To All You Homebrewers!

I got one for you. Your story reminded me of something that happened almost 2 years ago. My 85 year old dad (a beer drinker all of his life) was in a hospice suffering from liver cancer. He was on his last few days and I thought, what the hell...."Dad, would you like to have a beer?" He was in...

    Guzzle or Nurse

Toss it...To much good beer out there to abuse my liver and kidneys on crap....Learned a lesson in 1985 in Red Lodge, Mt. Got a batch of bad beer and I puked the entire time I was in Yellowstone the next day. Nice trip.. Conclusion...it gets dumped.
