    Hops send out suckers thats what is going on I don't see many weeds their, typically if it was witch grass, crab grass, or any other grass i would remove it from around the hop vines, also during the fall, and winter time when your hops die back, you can cover them with weed barrier to keep...

    How do you fertilize hops in pots/buckets?

    use a 4 4 4 npk (nitrogen phosphorus, potassium fertilizer when you do it with a tea, also bat guano and coffee grounds work wonderfully well

    Safer 3 in 1 insect spray may help a bit keep spraying the plants till harvest time comes about I have the same problem, also cutting the grass down by your hops wont hurt and might help to the bugs like to stay there

    I grow Chinook, fuggle, mount hood, cascade, Willamette, Perl Kentgoldings east Kentgoldings, all of my hops are producing flowers right now they are beautiful i will be posting some pictures online of them

    What is your favorite variety of hops, I grow several varieties, by next year i will have a half acre of fuggle, after that a full acre or two, I grow cascade, fuggle, mt hood, chinook, East Kentgoldings (kentgoldings) Perle.
