Pump In (Inside) a Toolbox - Stainless

So I am finally moving forward with assembling this beast, and I have a question (not sure if it's a concern). I have two pumps that I am going to fit inside a steel Kobalt toolbox I purchased. I will also be putting a surge protector inside (keeping it up oin the shelf) as well as a...

    HERMS Plate?

Exactly. An extra filter would be helpful. I already HAVE the plates. I was just looking at options to save a dollar and NOT buy a coil. (Added expense PLUS shipping costs). The coil would obviously be more effective (probably saving 3-5% efficiency), but just considering options.

    HERMS Plate?

Good point Microbus. Currently I have a braided hose, but I planned on moving towards a false bottom from Bobby's website (Brewhardware).

    HERMS Plate?

So I wanted to throw this out there. I have been doing all the research I can imagine before I pull the trigger on building my brew-stand. Rather than going into a long detailed sketch (of which there are plenty in my notebook as well as this awesome website), I wanted to pose a short...

    Herms coil size for keggle?

So I have a quick question... I have been assembling a parts list for my HERMS build for my keggles. I love the pic of this on Zach's SS site, but I'm not sure about attaching them to the keggle wall. I figure since the coil is competely enclosed, so you don't need a ball valve on this part...

    Single Tier one Pump System

Pic update worked great! Ok, so here's my design ideas based of your almost EXACT system as you have drawn it. Move MLT to the center position. Drop the BK down to a low enough level to gravity feed into the MLT. Lower level would actually fold down. (I think there was another SS stand...

    Single Tier one Pump System

This thread sounds exactly like my own dilemma... but I can't see your pics! I am gonna have to stalk this thread for a while...

Show us your sculpture or brew rig

So I just want to say that I love this rig. I don't want a control box, because it feels like I'm steering away from "manual transmission". I have thoughts of making something fairly similar, but with a few minor differences. Drop the BK down to the level of your diamond plate, so I can...

How to add permanent volume markings to a kettle (illustrated)

Excellent suggestions! This is why I come here... I need to see what might be an option, but I think it sounds worth it. Any guestimate on how much it would cost to take it to a sign shop? I would think the logo would probably print large enough to cover a 1' x 1 1/2' area on the front of...

How to add permanent volume markings to a kettle (illustrated)

Supergrump: That design and set-up is SPECTACULAR! I was just about to scroll through this whole thread again, but your recent post starts to answer the question I was about to ask. I have a nice brewery logo that a friend designed for me, and I was thinking about printing it to etch it on...

Help me understand how a plate chiller is supposed to be setup

Oh yeah... I see it. Very swanky! I think this will have to be implemented in my set-up. Still trying to configure the arrangement of hoses and cam-locks in my head. Plate chiller exit -> T-junction with temp probe / Male Cam-lock -> Silicon tubing that returns to whirlpool. I would...

Help me understand how a plate chiller is supposed to be setup

Brett, How did you install that nice thermometer at the T-junction from your plate chiller? I was foolish and did NOT buy a thru-mometer when I purchased my Therminator (Northern Brewer)... so I still need to do some additional configuration. I see that you have a valve from...

Help me understand how a plate chiller is supposed to be setup

Filter would only be a fine mesh bag for hops... but I could easily implement a hop spider to double up on filtering.

Help me understand how a plate chiller is supposed to be setup

So let me jump in right................. here. I am trying to finish the design specs for me new brew rig. I built a "decent" 20' copper immersion chiller with 1/2" tubing, but I also purchased a Therminator. My intention is to place the immersion chiller into a large bucket of ice (5...

"polishing your keg" is more than a clever euphemism

You know what... I read your post, and tried to browse the Farm and Fleet website... but didn't actually think about putting in the friggin part # you had listed. I'd like to blame my dear friend alcohol... but she wasn't even involved with this ridiculous oversight. :drunk: edit: Well...
