    Autumn Seasonal Beer Punkin' Ale

I would soak the beans in vodka. This will act as a natural sanitizer. If you want to add a little bourbon flavor, you could soak the beans in bourbon. If you are actually going to put the beans in your secondary, I would you a small hop/spice bag so that you can retrieve the beans easily.

    Autumn Seasonal Beer Punkin' Ale

This is a great time to brew with fresh pumpkin. I prefer using the small Pumpkin Pie Pumpkins. I have seen a lot of instructions for using pumpkin that are very messy. I came by this process just by experimenting. Pie Pumpkins are small enough to fit in your oven without cutting them first...

Benefits and Disadvantages of Single Vessel Brewing Systems

I also use the Grainfather personally and sell it in my store. We also use it with all our brewing classes. We have brewed about 10 batches of beer with the Grainfather and it has worked flawlessly. What we have experienced recently are people who are purchasing the Grainbrother and then...

    Welch's Grape Juice Wine

If you want to make a "good" concord wine, here are some of my best tips. #1 Make sure there are no stabilizers in the juice. #2 Make sure you do not add so much sugar that it exceeds the yeasts ability to work. #3 Use Potassium Metabisulphite as a santizer. It sanitizes, kills wild yeast...

    Cost of bulk liquid yeast?

I would recommend contacting Wyeast or White Labs directly to inquire about such a large batch. They do sell to breweries for that size of pitch.

Blending Sour And Funky Mead P IV: Berliner Style Meads

Neat article, mixing two things I love, Mead and Berliners. I may have missed this, but at what time frame do you remove the grains from the Must? Thanks

    Adding Metabisulfite

If you added Potassium Sorbate, then that should have stopped fermentation within 48 hrs (provided you added enough). What is your gravity reading today? If it has continued to drop, then you didn't add enough or the additive is old.

Where did all the Weyermann Pils malt go?

We haven't had an issue at all ordering it. In fact, we have 3 sacks sitting in the grain room of our shop now.

    Vieille harvest dregs

Michael Tonsmeire and his blog has a list of Sour bottles that you can or can not harvest dregs from. Although I don't see that particular beer listed, you may want to reach out to him or to the brewery and ask for certain. Here is the link to the blog page...

Any ideas about using excess corn sugar?

You could always add some to the kettle while brewing. It will dry out your beer some as well raise the ABV slightly.

Poured Resin Penny Bar Top question

I have seen people do a little glue or superglue on the back of the pennies. This will keep them in place and also not float around on you while pouring the resin. I researched it over on Pintrest.
