My smoker is electric, so the PID turns the element on and off. -k

Me too Beernik. And I live in Seattle. No worries here over 10 years now with compliance. But I don't use a humidifier.

Thanks iijakii. Do you think that it makes a difference that I have constant 24v from pin 3+4 on the PID side? It's on even when the output light goes out. Best, Katherine

I have seen this mistake in the instructions mentioned in a number of places. Now I wish that is what was making mine not work. I have the opposite problem.... The light on the SSR never goes out and the load side is always hot. It does not turn off even when the output light on PID is off.
