Sold 12 gallon system + kegerator and more - MA

Update 4/11 - price drop, looking to sell asap, make an offer! I'm moving and selling everything if possible. The electric HLT and pump runs on a standard 15a outlet, the 20g kettle is a converted Bayou Classic, the MLT is an insulated SS Brewtech. I am looking for local pickup in north/central...

Step by Step build a 110v portable PID controller

Would this setup work with a 2000w 120v element? If not, what changes would need to be made. I'm converting a kettle to a eHLT, still going to boil with my Blichmann burner and mash in a cooler (for now). I think this might work for good way to heat strike/sparge water.

    Home Depot 10 Gallon Cooler

It will most likely be fine. I have the same cooler and it developed a bubble that runs vertically nearly the entire length on the inside and is raised about 1/2-3/4". I've brewed probably 60+ batches with it like that and it hasn't cracked or gotten worse.

    Williams Brewing brew kettles

If it's the brewers edge 40 QT then I have the same one. I haven't measured the volume full, but I have boiled starting with 8.5 gallons and there was still a bit of room left.. I just eyeballed it with my homemade volume/sight stick thingy and it looks like it will hold just over 10 gal...

Stainless table work as a brew station?

I have been looking at tables like these to put an electric HLT and cooler MLT on. The one in the link above is pretty nice, $125 shipped is a good deal. :mug:

    New Pot Size

I have been looking at those (amongst many others). How do you like it? It seems like a great deal

    New Pot Size

I would go bigger as well. I shoot for 5.5 gal into the fermenter and I have a 10 gallon pot. If I brew a beer with a 90 min boil I'll start with about 8.5 so It's pretty close. So yeah for a couple extra bucks I'd have to agree with everyone else :mug: Oh yeah and I'm looking at getting a...

    Bayou Classic Brew Kettle?

I have been considering one of these as a boil kettle.. Without all the extra stuff I have seen them at $170ish. A couple days ago I found the pot with valve only (and lid of course) for the same price. Seems like a very solid pot for the $$...

    Mash paddle

I made one out of maple too. I didn't treat it with anything... just sanded it smooth. It works great! :mug:

    Lagering benefits while carbonated

I Lager in the keg (while force carbing) and have noticed a great deal of improvement in the beer over time. By week 4-6 in the keg I feel like it's at it's peak deliciousness. This for me means the beer is around 3 months old. My process is diacetyl rest as active ferm is winding down. Bring...

    Empty co2 tank..

Well someone at work just told me a bait/tackle shop down the street from me fills paintball co2. Not sure if they can fill my 20lb tank or not but I'll check it out tomorrow morning. Other option will be to get a paintball tank. I'm assuming the adapter needed could be something I find at my LHBS?

    But I don't wanna...

I suppose it would be fine... it will take the labels off still.

    Empty co2 tank..

Great idea.. just looked at some prices.. might have to do this. Thanks!

    But I don't wanna...

I generally only re-use PBW that I used to clean an already pretty clean kettle or other equipment. If I use it to soak the labels off bottles it gets pretty gunky. I Don't save that stuff. As far as I know it can last a good while.. several weeks at least.

    Empty co2 tank..

I figured they would be fine.. it's basically a giant carbonated bottle (or can). But I want to DRINK them haha.. I was planning on having people over to party tomorrow... oh well. I'll just drink them till they stop pouring! Thanks all :mug:
