    GROUP BREW: Strawberry Mead

    The lee's are dropping and looks like I'll be racking again soon. With the amount of berry sludge and lee's that will be racked off, what should I top up with? Looks like there will be too much space to top up with all water.

    Beer bottles

    Well one week or so later, twisted the cap off and had a nice hiss. pour...good head. Good beer I don't know if I'll make a habbit of using twist off bottles but they work in a pinch.

    I ran out of bottles. I was six or so bottles shy so I grabbed some budlights and emptied a few, cleaned em up and used budlight bottles to finish my batch of beer. How soon should I re-empty those bottles? or will they seal?

    Northern Michigan/UP microbrews

    They had some killer blueberry ale a couple of years ago.....well worth the stop.:mug: Sullivan's Black Forest in Frankenmuth has some a some interesting beers. They have a sample tray of beer that will convince you into staying the night if you finish all 8 kinds.

    When racking this from primary to secondary could you just pour the mead through a screen to help seperate the mead from the strawberry's?
