I'd like something somewhere between Beer Tools Pro and Beersmith in the equipment calibration department. BTP is too detailed and hard to set up and Beersmith has no Mash Tun calibration at all. The results are I almost never hit my initial mash temp when I preheat my plastic drink cooler. I...
I had them all over the place and finally traced them to a giant box of fruit that the SWMBO had bought from the Boy Scouts. I tossed about half of it and they seemed to dissipate for a while. I guess when more fruit goes bad more flies will arrive.
I really don't know how to describe the yucky taste my beers had before I started using a carbon based filter but I really disliked it so much I almost put all my stuff on Craig's List. Now I really enjoy my own beer and love sharing it with my friends and neighbors. Amazing difference in...
I started brewing back in 1981 and brewed for a short time and gave it up for 25 years or so and when I started back one of the newfangled devices someone had invented was the auto-siphon. I thought it was the neatest damned thing until the LHBS guy showed me the bottling wand (you know that...
Good luck with any of those things. I bought 2 from Firehouse Subs. They sell them for 2 bucks. I use one of them for washing the car and the other I did the oxyclean and sunshine treatment for about 3 months and they still smells about the same as when I got them. I use it now as a catch...

I'm not a great fan of the Abita though I thought the Restoration was pretty good beer. However I had a bottle of Abita root beer (non alcoholic) and it was very good.
I've used POR15's high temp engine paint. I know it's not in direct sun like the outside would be but my Chevy Orange truck engine still looks great after 8 years.
OK....lets slow the roll on this one. First of all, this is the beginners forum. If you've been brewing 2 years and doing all grain....you ain't no beginner. Post them in the advanced forum. If you just started brewing and try wild stuff...don't whine on here about why your cherry wheat...
I would'a dug him outta there with my pocket knife, poured what was left in a tall glass to check for legs and such and pending no legs, feet or pieces, drank that beer. I would then follow it with 2 shots of Jim Beam to sanitize.
