    No it doesn't work for that kind of stuff ,but you can sit across the kitchen and put the red dot on a 2 L flask and see it get to 211 so you can quick turn it down.Before it boils over.Find drafts on you windows!

    Yeast PSST.

    The problem is after stepping it up I still see no growth.But I have not checked SG as I didnt realize till it was dumped that the layer of yeast was 1/32" <,,,, less than it was before 24 hours on the stirplate.
