    Chugger Pump inlet style

I've been looking @ purchasing one of the SS head pumps from them. I see all sorts of images on their site for a center inlet version of the pump. My question to those of you who have both center inlet & the other inlet type (I guess side by side or top over bottom... not sure what to call...

    20 gallon boilermaker slight seam

I just received my 20 Gallon boilermaker, and there appears to be a welded seam from top to bottom along one side. It is for the most part smooth, like it was sanded/buffed to be fairly flush and when you run your hand across it the surface is slightly irregular, or perhaps just not as smooth...

    Stuck big blow enclosure

I have 2 of these: http://www.homebrewit.com/aisle/p/BB24 After my last set of brews I haven't been able to unscrew the PVC elbow connected to the enclosure. I tried soaking it, running it under hot water, attaching a 18 inch section of PVC to get more leverage. Nothing. I can't get either one...

Opinion request: fermentation chamber pricing question

    1. Does $150 seem like a good deal for this freezer? I wanted to use it as a fermentation/lagering/cold crashing chamber: http://delaware.craigslist.org/app/2450556892.html. I contacted the seller, and it's ~6 years old, they have been using it for ~2 years (I guess they bought it used). 2...

Wild/sour brew pipeline plan - Any advice?

Currently doing 1x 5 gallon AG batch per month. My plan is to buy a 10gal barrel from here: http://stores.intuitwebsites.com/TuthilltownSpirits/-strse-Barrels/Categories.bok Initially I'll probably do a ~1.080 sour porter... something like this one...

Anyone checked these out for a fermentation temp controller?

http://www.digitalaquatics.com/saltwater/RKL For $120 you get a head unit to display/program the temperature, a temperature probe, & a power controller that looks like it can control 4 different devices. Lots of cool expandability as well. My main concern was the temperature probe, which...

Is higher attenuation attainable with Belgian Ardennes?

Started an AG Belgian Dark Strong Ale yesterday. I'm using Wyeast 3522 Belgian Ardennes which is has a rated attenuation of 72-76% & alcohol tolerance up to 12%. My SG ended up @ 1.1004. I mashed @ 148 for 90 minutes, and I have 3 pounds of candi sugar (2 clear, 1 amber) for ~16% of the total...

    oxygen aeration system

I bought this http://www.williamsbrewing.com/WILLIAMS-OXYGEN-AERATION-SYSTEM-P699.aspx system. I'm very happy with it thus far after 3 uses. I was wondering what people use to secure the tubing to the regulator/oxygen wand. I haven't done anything except just sliding the tubing onto the...

Monster Mill mm-3 drive shaft wear

I emailed Fred about this & am waiting for a reply. I was wondering if anyone experienced a similar issue. After both times I ran the mill using a 1/2" drill to drive it there were bits of metal shavings on the drive shaft. It appears the drill is slipping enough that it is causing an issue...
