    never done the capital but ive done bruge cant remember what beers i drank but i wasn't disappointed first time i tried leffe straight from the tap and its way better than the bottle and stuff your face with waffles in between pints.

    As a beginner do you feel your beer is not as good?

    I dont know, i think homebrew tastes different to commercial brew, but this taste is neither better nor worse, i think it just different. More variety for life thats all =]

    .5 lb of brown sugar 908g tin of Lyles golden syrup OG came out at 1.090 i boiled 2 sticks of cinnamon in the dissolving sugar/syrup and half the juice then removed one of the sticks and left the other in the fermenter had a sip of it when it was boiling away, tasted tip top

    2nd batch made with syrup,brown sugar and cinnamon so fingers crossed 17,785.5+1=17,786.5

    hmm id probably have to let it ferment out, id like to bottle it any idea how well it ages? im all for drinking it live but itd be nice to have a few bottles put away for friends and the like. and as for leaving fruit peices in primary, dthink they add extra flavour? thanks for all the info btw

    hmmm i'l probably want mine to ferment for a bit longer and be less sweet suppose i could rack it off the sludge after a few days just worried about things beginning to rot

    Anyone use cinnamon sticks in cider? Need advice

    when do you guys add them? i added 1 1/2 sticks to my apfelwine when i was boiling the juice and sugar and i cant really detect any cinnamon 5 weeks on =/

    cheers might have to give it a go ive got some banana wine aging at the moment but im not hopeful for it when i tried it a few weeks ago it tastes way to sour and watery
