I upgraded to 10 gallon batches, so if not what are some better options?
I'm using this calculator for the sake of example: http://www.brew365.com/mash_sparge_water_calculator.php
So I will heat up all of my strike water. Then I put the mash water volume amount in my mash tun with my grain. I then drain off and recirculate until it runs clear. I then drain the...
It's super confusing as to what each field corresponds to since there seem to be three different standards of measurement.
Here is an example:

I am participating in a group buy, and I have two options for 2-row. I can get the Great Western Premium 2-row or the Canadian Malting Company Canadian 2-row.
Are these two malts practically the same? The price difference isn't huge, but I'd rather get all of one than mix and match if they...
They are $100 each and have 1/2" stainless steel couplers already welded in. I am also open to bartering or offers. PM or post here. I will check back every day.
Thanks!:mug:
I am kegging in a Sanke torpedo. I go all the way through the shaking for 100 seconds part. Here is the problem. Sanke couplers do not have quick disconnects for the CO2 and my hose barb is very tightly connected. How important is it to disconnect the gas if I already shut it off? Also, what...
For some reason when I turn the pumps on after priming them they will occasionally suck too fast causing the tube to collapse and get bad flow. Do you think this is because I don't have a ball valve on the pumps and only on the keg?
I've done extensive Googling with little success. I live in Athens, GA, so if anyone has an answer or knows where I can find it please let me know.
Thanks!
Sorry if this is the wrong board. I looked around and this seemed like the best bet. :mug:
I am having trouble finding a good deal on cornys. I have six 1/6th barrel sanke kegs. Should I just go with the sankes? I hear they are a pain to fill up, but I want more information from someone who uses them frequently for homebrewing.

I was going to get one from kegcowboy, but they are out of stock.
