can bottles be sanitized then stored for an extended period of time?

I have about 150 Grolsch swing tops bottles to sanitized. Can they all be sanitized then closed up to remain sanitized for an extended period of time, meaning weeks a a month or 2...not years. I figured at bottling time I would just swirl the cap/neck in a pail of sanitizer just before bottling.

    Bubble size... will it change?

I am on batch #6 (I think) and was thinking about when I will see some consistent results. So far i have brewed a different style of beer, different kit makers... boil... no boil etc. So i guess i can't expect "consistent" Anyway... to the question. Batch was bottled a bout a week ago and...

    A question about one-step

I am pretty much done with using one step as a sanitizer. I heard that is no longer on the approved sanitizer list. While I know the gov tends to go overboard with the CYA stuff, they do know something some of the time. I think so anyway.

    A question about one-step

Brother I here you on that. As far as the endless debates... I don;t know what they are in home brewing yet. But every hobby has them. In my other hobby, detailed scale modeling of WWII tanks and aircraft, someone ill ask the questions., "What's the correct dunkelgelb (dark yellow) for a...

    A question about one-step

Would a couple of gallons of one-step I mixed a few days ago still be good now. It is sitting in an open bucket. Not trying to save money since this is just pennies but just wondering.

    forgot the sugar????

Now there's a coincidence. I just made the same mistake with Cooper's Pilsner and posted the same question yesterday. The directions are pretty vague in that respect. I called the folks at makebeer.net, Coopers distributor, and spoke to Tom. He said that while there may be a risk because you...

    A new batch... another mistake?

This was not a complete kit but one of the malt extract cans that com,e with the yeast packet. The booklet say to dissolve the LME and other fermentables in 2 liters of boiling water. Put this in the fermenter and top off to 21 liters. Then top off with cold water or ice to 23 liters to get...

    A new batch... another mistake?

Batch #4 - Cooper Pilsner. The booklet, a little vague, said additional fermentables needed. Light dry malt and dextrose. Went online to order and I ordered corn sugar instead of dextrose. Was I thinking that was for priming? Dunno. Point is I am guessing the dextrose was supposed to go in...

    Head

Mnic, I am on my 4th batch so far and have noticed this same thing but not all the time from the same batch. I remember something I heard ages ago that if you put milk in a glass, no matter what you do do it after that, you will never again get a head form a beer in the glass. When I drink...

    What the heck was that?

    What the heck was that?

I was getting ready to chill the last few bottles of a batch of Pilsner and I noticed one of the bottles had what look like a stain running down the side. I wiped the bottle down and determined it was on the inside. Looking closer i noticed a couple of darker colored nodules in the sediment...

    Other hobbies besides brewing?

Ain't it just like a newb to revive an old post. My primary hobby is building and detailing scale models and researching the subject. I used to be all aircraft all the time... hence the wing_nut handle... but now mostly armor.

How is this going to turn out?

Thanks again. Even though it has only been 6 days I chilled and drank one today. I did this for the 1st 2 batches as well to see what the diff is over time. If this is only going to get better over time WOW is this going to be good Already has good carbonation and the flavor does not...

How is this going to turn out?

WOW... fast replies. Thanks all for responding and confirming what I figured... well... maybe hoped for is better. yes kammee except the is was a no boil kit. I am assuming the hops was already in the LEM (is that correct jargon?). The extra Tbs of sugar was for the batch not per Pint...
