    My 1 bbl. system build

Id personally go with 2x 4500w Ripp elements, they are the lowest watt density available and ive had some BAD history with high-watt-density elements. Weird tasting beer & hard as hell to clean.

Who else here on this forum is interested in "non-traditional wines"??

theres a place in the next town over that sometimes sells dirt-cheap pineapples, when they have them i always make a big batch of wine (very good stuff it is, too, if a little acidic). im thinking next time maybe adding some molasses & coconut to get a faux Caribou Lou :D

How do you clean your BIAB bag?

i dump it out, rinse it "pretty clean" in the sink, then throw it in with my other laundry. seems to work pretty good.

    Putting together keggles

personally, i don't care where kegs come from as long as they're cheap. but that wasn't the question ;)

    Putting together keggles

it means it wasn't owned by another brewery at some point. buying branded kegs off of, for instance, craigslist is sortof a legal gray area because they're technically still property of that brewery. a "legitimate" keg wouldn't have any company markings on it.

Hello from London Ont. ehh !

EDIT: the equipment can be made pretty cheap, and it doesn't take THAT long to brew...4-5 hours if you multi-task :) PS. welcome aboard :tank:

Hello from London Ont. ehh !

local library is a good source of info too. my library has some good brewing books in the cooking section. all-grain is easy, the only hard part is equipment investment & the extra time it takes.

cool, just looking for some rough guidelines. OP says add oak in tertiary so i wasn't sure. this, or some derivative thereof, is on my short list to-brew! PS. best price i found on yarrow was on ebay, $16/lb shipped!
