3 or 4 Pass Cold Plate for Jockey Box

Looking for a 3 or 4 pass cold plate to use in a jockey box. Something in decent condition. I don't mind having to clean it, but it needs to be cleanable. Thanks

Why did my electric element get rusty?

The element in my HLT is rusty after using it for the last 6 months or so. It's corroding where the element is connected to the threaded connector. I drain all of the water out after I'm done with each batch. I'm not sure why its rusting. Is it just a poor quality element? It's a 5500W...

Black forest stout tastes too roasty

I recently brewed the Black Forest Stout recipe from Brewing Classic Styles. Lots of great stuff in that book, so I'm not blaming the recipe. How easy is it to get a small sample from a conical with a butterfly valve?

I'm planning out the conical and parts that I would like to get and I'm trying to decide between valves. I like the butterfly valves (obviously), but one thing I'm not sure about is how easy it is to take a small sample for gravity reading from a 1" butterfly valve in the side of a 15gal...

Didn't hit my target pH with EZ Water Calculator

I used the EZ Water Calculator spreadsheet for the first time to brew the Nutty Man Brown Ale from Brewing Classic Styles, but my measured pH didn't match up and I'm not sure why. I tested the pH with strips from Precision Labs that range from 4.6 to 6.2 in 0.4 increments. After 20 mins the mash...

Easy leak free weldless fittings with gaskets

Ever since I started putting weldless fittings in my pots I've had problems with leaks. Not particularly bad problems, but annoying. My last setup used silicone o-rings and nuts with lock grooves cut into them. It worked pretty well and only leaked some number of drops during a 10 gallon brew...

Where to buy Gluten Free Whole Millet (with husk) for malting

Hey, Does anyone have a good resource for Gluten Free Whole Millet (with hulls)? I'm interested in malting my own millet for GF beer. I've read a lot about it, but I can't find a place to by whole millet grains with the hulls. This is the closest I've found...
