    Hello From Tallahassee, FL!

I've been brewing a little over 3 years now and have learned basically everything I know from this blog. It has helped me from screwing up too often and helped me make this hobby something I am now passionate about! Never really explored some of the non-brewing sections of the site until now and...

Post a pic--let's see your ugly mugs

I've been a part of this site for a couple years now, but am just stumbling upon this thread... First: we were enjoying a growler before going to Terrapin. Second: my SWMBO and I. Third: my college ultimate team.

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Yes, that was in Tally, this was my first time brewing for it. Last year I wasn't a part of the club yet and was just drinking, serving and drinking was way more fun! A couple friends and I are getting a beach house together, one is brewing this exact recipe - I'm going to try it this time with...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Brewed about 15 gallons of this for an event called pints4paws (Homebrew fundraising event for local animal shelter), had slightly darker mix of crystal malt on hand (cara-vienn and crystal 60). Because of a broken fermentation chamber i had to fix and just being busy i brewed it about 12 days...

    PEX for a MT manifold??

I used pex for both my 5 and 10 gallon MLT, wasn't hard to put together. Made them both together in about an hour and a half with a pipe cutter and a Dremel to cut slits in it. I love it, dry fitted it for ease of cleaning and haven't had any problems.

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Was kind of incredulous about making this beer with it being such a session-able beer. I usually like things with more flavor like porter/stouts and IPA's. Made this anyways, just to give my friends a taste of homebrew without blowing their minds with flavor. I love it! I'm brewing another batch...

Approximately How Many mL of Yeast in a starter

So, I'm trying to get into yeast banking to save some money on each brew. I plan to have around 3-4 strains available throughout the year. I just made a starter from Wyeast's golden strong strain and let it ferment out, then I threw it in the fridge. I've only had it in the fridge for about 12...

2 liter soda bottle kegging system.

I do the same type thing, but I also have a keezer for at home enjoyment. When I go to friend's houses I bring 2-liters with those tire valve caps. I added an air-chuck to my #20 co2 line so I can always hit the bottles to 30psi, much cheaper than the disposable cartridges. I've made about 16 of...

    Festbier BierMuncher's OktoberFAST Ale (AG)

Just transferred to my keg. Initial tasting was cold and flat, but was just what I was looking for in malt and balance. It was a little sweet, but I am assuming carbonation will take that away. My OG= 1.057 and FG= 1.015, so I'm right around 5.5%. Another great brew Beirmeister! Thank You!!! As...
