    Stuff for sale

I read the rules and didn't see anything against posting in multiple sections or anything against posing for sale items in the local section. So with that said I want to link to my post over in the for sale section. I'm selling all of my equipment since I'm getting out of the hobby. I'm...

    Oklahoma Selling it all

I just don't have the time I used to have and the stuff is taking up too much space and the wife's upset we spent so much money and I don't brew anymore. :( All that said, I think it's time to get out of the hobby. I'd really like to keep this local and I'd like to sell it all as a lot...

    Lines freezing

So I built a kegerator out of a mini fridge. It sits under my bar and feeds into my 2 tap tower. The beer lines go up through the top of the fridge and into the tower. This mini fridge doesn't have a freezer plate, the whole top 1/4 or so of the fridge is where the cooling lines lay and...

    Wyeast 3191 Berliner Weiss

I started a BW with the 3191 yeast on 9/03. I did a week of straight lacto fermentation (at close to 80*) and then added the 3191 and dropped temps to around 68* and let the 3191 work for a while. Gravity was 1.010 on 9/21 so I moved it back to the beer closet (around 74*) and it's been...

    Kegging Sours

Any issues I need to be on the lookout for? I figure as long as the kegs, lines and taps get a good cleaning when I kick a keg I shouldn't have any issues right? I'd prolly use the same keg and tap for sours and likely won't have more than one on tap at a time (3 taps total). Thanks!!

    High Pressure Regulator Hose

Looking for a hose that will allow me to remote mount my regulator away from the CO2 tank. I've seen them online but I'm not ready to pay $60 if someone here has one they aren't using. Thanks!! Would like to pay around $40 shipped but let me know what you got.

    Sour Mash Process Check

Ok, I'm planning on doing a sour mash for my upcoming Gose and want to make sure I have the process right. Recipe - 3 gallons 3# Wheat Malt 2# German Pils 2# Acid Malt 2 days before brewday: Take 20% of malt bill and mash normally. My plan is to do a 60 min mash with 1 qt of water per pound...

    Wash yeast or no?

So I'm using some 3191PC yeast in a berliner weiss right now and the plan is to pitch a Gose on the cake. I got a lot of break material and trub in the BW so I'd really like to wash the yeast to clean it up a bit for the gose. I just wonder how well this would work with yeast/lacto/brett and...

    WY3191 aging

Ok, I've got a BW going right now. I started with straight lacto and I'll pitch the 3191 soon. I'll keep it around 70* and let it go for a while. My question is this - Wyeast says it takes 3-6 months of aging to fully develop the flavor characteristics. Does this mean I need to leave it on...

    Lacto BW

Hey everyone!! I've got a Berliner Weiss going right now. I pitched a starter of White Labs Lacto yesterday and today there is nice white fluffy krausen and it's going pretty strong. The plan is to let it go for a while to sour on it's own and then pitch my 3191 and ferment around 70*...

    DAR440 Kegerator

I've searched but can't find out. Can I fit 3 pin lock kegs in this? CO2 will be on the outside (20# tank) and 2 of the kegs are 2.5 gallon so one should fit on the hump, one in front and one 5 gallon in front as well. Can anyone confirm this for me please? Thanks!!

    Upright Fridge Collar for Kegerator

Well the wife finally gave me permission to work on a kegging system!! So last night I bought a 20# co2 tank and that got her thinking. She wanted the system explained to her. So I told her the tank goes on the outside, I drill a hole in the fridge and then a couple more in the door for the...

    2.5 Gallon Kegs

Looking to get a couple 2.5 gallon kegs. Adventures in Homebrew has them new for $79 so I'd like to pay a little less than that, something like $60 each shipped if possible. Let me know if you have anything, thanks!!

    Sour Cider

So I want to make a sour cider. I'm thinking about just getting two 1 gallon jugs of apple juice, adding a little sugar to each to get to 1.060 or so and then adding the lacto and letting it work for 3-5 days. I'll let it sit in the beer closet at about 78* and then I'll pitch my cider yeast...

    New to Sours and Innoculating

Hey everyone!! I've been brewing for a while, over a year now, and things are going well. I love sours and I have a good pipeline going so I wanted to try my hand at making some sours. My first sour will be a brewferm framboise fermented with WLP655. I just want to make sure I have the idea...

    2 Party Pig Systems

Selling my 2 party pig systems now that I keg. Used a couple times each by me, I bought them used from another member on HBT and he used each a couple times as well. You'll get the following: 2 Party Pigs - each with valve assembly with gasket, attachment ring with screws, Pig holding tray...

    Simple Saison

So I'm planning out my next few brews. Redoing my Cascade Pale and my Amarillo Pale, both will be all grain. I want to do a saison so I came up with this, all on my own!! I still have a couple questions about it though. The chocolate and crystal 80 are for color. The acid is for acidity...

    Crush look ok?

I know you prolly get a lot of this but I need some help. I got a corona mill from someone and it was all set up to use with a drill and everything, it just needed to be dialed in. I took some grain and ran it through and it was too fine. I adjusted it and ran more through and I think it...

    The Brew Shop - OKC

Wanted to leave a review with my impressions of The Brew Shop in Oklahoma City on Penn. There are only 2 homebrew supply stores in OKC, this one and one in Moore, down on the south side of the city. I go to the brew shop because it's so close to my work. I can stop during lunch and grab what...
