    All grain/Sparging Equipment

    I heat my strike and sparge water in a 15 gallon keg.As it heats I use it at the different stages.Mash in then keep heating than sparge.Whats left over helps for the clean up.The deep fryer burners work decent but a burner with two rows work great for me and a tank of propane last longer too.

    pitch more or not

    I recently brewed a chocolate coffee stout and finished up with an og of 1.10. Pitched one bag of 100 bil yeast. My question is "is there a such thing as over pitching?" finished quick and am thinking i should have handled high gravity different. Either way i'll enjoy drinking it. Never stop...

    Condensation on trash can kegerators?

    It will condense alot.This was an issue for my wife.If you are putting wheels on the bottom with the round frame I would suggest getting a small hot water heater tray or anything similar.Before you remove it from the party clean up can be done with a dishtowel or sponge.

    Do I have to Remove labels??

    several others have given the only answer.Dump five gallons of oxyclean water in five gallon bucket.12 bottles stand up fullof water and about 12 more on top.After a week even my wifes landskark lables are no trouble.

    The stupidest comment on your beer

    "I don't like dark beers" 'is it like guiness" "if you can get it to taste like busch lite,it will be worth the work" As for my opinion,now that I brew,I can appreciate all things drank.I do beer and my wife does wine.(so fitting).I even respect the fine gentelmen who brought us Hamms.

    November '09 chat swap thread

    I brew for myself and my brothers but I would like to expand the horizon.Some of my bottles may say corona or have no lables.Is it to late to get in on the swap?I am no pro just a hobbiest.
