    Tyler Texas

That is just not going to happen. And in the history of Texas, only ONE place has ever gone from "damp" to "wet" ever. So liquor is just not going to happen. Not with Tyler voters. This issue is 'done' with them. It all sucks anyways, since it put me out of business.

Liquor sales won't happen at all. Brookshires and Walmart won't put money towards it like they did for beer and wine. Trust me. Been in this business for the past decade (up until just now when I closed my store in Winona because of the b/w vote) And there's no reason whatsoever to build a beer...

    3-Way Ball Valves?

CHEEP http://www.directmaterial.com/3_Way_Stainless_Steel_Ball_Valves_Type_L_T_w_MP_p/dcvbs3l-fslash-t.htm Edit: Guess I should follow that up I use them all over my rig. Beats turning 2+ valves when I want to direct flow around. I use Type-L ones. Less chance of human error. Type-T would...

2 RTD temp probes, 1 PID

Here's how I accomplished this. That would be 4 NO/NO contact blocks on a 3way toggle switch. The 4th is to control which element is firing. Here's the front panel, just for reference on the switch.

Do dings in kettle affect all-grain?

While I am not against using BKF... a few hours is extremely excessive. Stainless will repassivate almost instantaneously with just air. But yes, clean it well with BKF. Don't need to soak it though.

    Longest 3-5 day shipping EVER!

Well, considering that probably means it SHIPS in 3-5 days. Then it's still in the timeframe. You cannot count Saturday, Sunday or even Monday (this week). And if it was going to be shipped via FedEx. You can count Mondays out all of the time.

Kettle strong enough for heating element?

I don't see why it wouldn't be. Blichmann's can support an element, and they're fairly thinwalled. As far as the element, I have a 4500W element in my kettle, and it's plenty fine for 7gallons boiling.

    Soldering Stainless steel

Not sure how well that would work with a thermowell as deep as the keg.... you know, getting the lid out.

    Soldering Stainless steel

Heh. That's why I said normal circumstances. Normally, my ferments aren't even near 30psi. Thanks for the input! Now I just need to grow the balls to cut into my perfectly good pinlocks.

    Soldering Stainless steel

Quick question. I've got this silver soldering thing down, but am wondering if it'd be a good or bad idea to solder in a half coupling in the side of a pinlock keg. I use them for pressure fermenting. I'd like to add thermowells to them. Under normal circumstances, it would never go over...

Fermenting under pressure/sealing keg lid with O2 instead of CO2/harvesting yeast?

Using a diffusion stone recirculates the liquid to the top so it is constantly hitting the surface and exchanging air from the SURFACE of the liquid.... so Yes, pure O2 is perfect for this. As it will blanket the surface with the wort, and as that will have much more O2 than just air will, you...

How to mount the plate chiller to the stand?

Here's how I mounted mine. It's a horrible pic, and I am at work, but you get the idea. That is some 1/8" aluminum that I used my chassis punch (for punching the kettles) Works out greatly.
