I made the switch to all grain and I'm never looking back again

I've been an on-and-off brewer for about 4 years. In 2015 I brewed 5-6 batches and built a kegerator (best investment yet, as I hate bottling). So far in 2016 I've brewed 4 batches, one of which was my first ever AG. It's still fermenting, so I can't comment on the taste differences, but...

    Who picked up BCBS today?

Since I work in retail management, I didn't get any. My girlfriend, however, picked up 5 bottles of the regular for me. The last few years I was able to get a couple packs of regular and a pack of barleywine. No variants seen in my town yet aside from the barleywine, and none this year...

    What are you drinking now?

And a split level effect? Hombrew DIPA. Brewing a hoppy hweat, and when I kick on the faucet to run my wort chiller, I notice its spraying hose water right in to the kettle. So, I fire up the burner again to bring it to a boil, and after having added fermcap and boiled off a gallon or more...

Outside of homebrewing, what do you guys do?

To pay the bills, I do store-level inventory control for a big blue consumer electronics retailer. However, I did just graduate last weekend, so I'm in the job market. Other hobbies? Cooking (including via smoker), some video gaming, spending time with the girlfriend and our dogs (morsel...

    What are you drinking now?

I'm really enjoying my new pseudo-keezer so far. only one beer kegged, but I've got gobs of ingredients sitting in the other room waiting to be brewed. Including some that were shipped to me on accident, and Midwest Supplies told me to keep them. Is there a way to figure out what I could brew...

    What are you drinking now?

My first ever kegged homebrew, a roughly 9% dipa with 90% cascade hops. Its not fully carbed, but still pretty tasty. Sorry the pic is rotated. It looks fine on my phone, but when attached... not so much. Is there a trick to preventing this?

    What are you drinking now?

Dogs have owners. Cats have staff. SWMBO and I have two dogs and one cat, so I often feel like the middle man in my own home. Its bull, but also why I spend more time with my dog.

    What are you drinking now?

KBS now. Wesley, sorry to hear your trashy neighbors can't control their dog. A lot of people say pitbulls are inherently vicious, but a good friend of mine had one (a rescue to boot) that was the best playmate my pointer/retriever mix has ever had. She was a great dog, minus her separation...

    What are you drinking now?

My first homebrew in 3 years: was supposed to be a black ipa, but didnt get as dark as id hoped. Its still brown around the edges at light, so.... cascadian dark ale? Tastes good, just needs more carb. Its only been in bottle for a week, im getting impatient. Edit: my apologies for the image...

What I did for beer today

Moved my fermenter full of black ipa up from the basement while sanitizing my bucket, bottles, and necessary gear. It'll be bottled soon.
