Advice on how to enjoy homebrewing over the years without becoming an alcoholic.

Grew up in Wisconsin. Yeah, we like beer. Germans, Swiss, Polish, Austrian, Swedish, Irish, Greek, Italian, Russians etc - the reality is we need to try all the different beers from many cultures and be good to each other. Beer is our universal lubricant for squeaky wheels

Best names for your beer batch?

When I get low on my grains before a big fat order more!!! .... I always make a "leftovers" batch. A pound of Vienna, Munich, some 2 row, a little of this and some of that ... Contemplating taste profiles and making it work. My "what I got left" lager, or IPA, pale ale, etc ... So far, so good...

Advice on how to enjoy homebrewing over the years without becoming an alcoholic.

Not long ago, beer was the beverage of choice and was safer than water due to boiling off the bugs. Kids drank beer. Beer history if fascinating - and can be very low alcohol and tasty. Guinness is about 4.3% - I make my stouts at that level or less. I also brew a bunch of tasty golden lager...

    Brewzilla Gen4 Discussion/Tips Talk

I got the Brewzilla Gen 4 in January and have made about 10 batches (20 L size, 220v). First thing I needed was an electrician to run some new outlets, which cost more than the Brewzilla itself. Haha. Just did a batch yesterday and it automatically downloaded a firmware update. Nice...

    Need to go electric...

Not the same thing, correct. However, assume someone did the panel incorrectly... An electrician always removed that faceplate and checks. Just to be sure. And yeah, they must be out of phase. It should be wired that way at the panel. But you still check by removing the plate and also with a...
