    Sierra Nevada never disappoints. Especially if you still want some malt to back up your hops. A very old school beer with the results of the week's meal prep in the fore ground.

    One of my favorite beers of the year. In an incredibly appropriate glass. We are lucky to get this pretty much every year. I've made lagers 2/3 as good as this, but I doubt I'll ever get any closer.

    Not the best but at $12 for a 6 pack of 16oz cans, it will most certainly do.

    Blackberry mead with buckwheat?

    Have you ever used Buckwheat honey before? If not, it is incredibly strong and I probably wouldn't use it to make up all of your sugar.

    Now a local Czech pils. A touch more bitter than Pilsner Urquell but a quality beer overall.

    I'm not usually a white wine guy, but this was actually really good. Also, at $10 a bottle it's a good deal. That 14.5% really sneaks up on you!

    The only thing better than a brewery with good beer is a brewery with good beer and good food! Chasing away the Sunday scaries with a farmhouse ale from a local brewery. Not that anyone needs reminding around here, but support your locals everyone!

    HB Buckwheat Acerglyn. For anyone that has tried buckwheat honey, you can imagine this is an earthy pour. I should have back sweetened with some maple syrup. Just a few bottles left by now.

    An English IPA at Chimney Rock Brewing Company in NC. Very balanced with noticeable English character and mouthfeel. Pretty dang good.

    Need advice brewing with well water and on a septic system

    I can't help with the elevation, but I've been brewing with a well and septic for years. I haven't done beer in quite some time but whether beer or mead or wine, I'm generally doing small batch (2.5gal or less) so most of my cleaning is done in the kitchen sink. Star San, trub, whatever goes...

    Late reply, but I am in a camper 45 minutes from Sideways and don't live too much further away. Always up for a story. It's 80⁰+ here in the mountains but it's still stout season. Cheers y'all!

    Hey everyone. I've been brewing for 5 years or so now. I took a little break for a bit but as usual, the bug has bit me again. All my Google searches always brought me here so I figured I'd finally make an account and help support this place that has helped me so much in the past. Cheers everyone!
