Adding priming sugar too early ☹️

I have ice blankets I wrap around the keg

Adding priming sugar too early ☹️

It’s a pale ale - and sadly I do not have refrigeration for the keg. My basement is typically 68 degrees during the summer and low 60’s upper 50’s in winter.

Adding priming sugar too early ☹️

There is only 2.5gallons of beer in the fermenter. So when I keg this beer I am only going to use a 2.5 gallon corni keg. How much priming sugar should be added. I will use a CO2 tank but only after I let it sit in the keg for 2 weeks.

Adding priming sugar too early ☹️

I combined sugar to the gallon of water I added to the fermenter when I added wort. Using a conical fermenter. Added yeast to the bottom of the empty, sanitized mason jar before I opened the valve at the bottom.

I added 2.2 oz of priming sugar dissolved into a cup of H2O

Adding priming sugar too early ☹️

Ok…I did a stupid thing. I brewed a Sierra Pale Ale Clone yesterday. Used homegrown whole cone Cascade hops. I added some priming sugar into the fermenter - is my beer now dead? Ruined? I feel so stupid! Chalk it up to too many home brews in the process☹️

    New to Corni Keg

Went with a hybrid approach. I added priming sugar into 5 gallon keg. There was only 4 gal of Hefeweizen. It’s quite thin at first taste. Hoping it gets better. I do not have refrigeration for keg either ☹️

    New to Corni Keg

For a Hefe would you adjust the PSI up or down?

    New to Corni Keg

I do have an external CO2 tank. Was curious if both can be used. If it is better to just use for carbonation I will do that.

    New to Corni Keg

Hi there all. Forgive me if this has been posted before… Only been brewing for a few years. Just got a 5 gallon corni keg. My question is: Is there any benefit to adding any priming sugar to a corni keg? I do not wish it to cause any damage. The reason I ask is that in my 2.5 gal corni I felt...

New member intro + freezer mod question

Hello all I just joined the group. An amateur brewer. Brew about 20-30gallons/year. Working on growing my own hops (Cascade/Nugget). I have a new(ish) upright freezer that I would love to make into a beer fridge or use to lager. I have read that inkbird makes a temp control and that “heat...
