An appeal to Northeast U.S. Homebrewers

So, I basically built an order for a single hop pale that I have done a few times. Using the same ingredients and ordering on Morebeer and Brewhardware and actually Brewhardware came in a few bucks cheaper for the ingredients. I did not add shipping simply because I am sure that is the kicker...

An appeal to Northeast U.S. Homebrewers

Not worried about it. I would like to try and support a small business and one who is active on this board. Good stuff. I will certainly order from you next go around,

An appeal to Northeast U.S. Homebrewers

Good stuff, I will admit I am a Morebeer client but I will give your company a looksee. In looking at your ale kits, you IPA is priced very very reasonable so that might be a good place for me to start. Glad you posted.

☕ Coffee ☕: Ingredients, Roasting, Grinding, Brewing, and Tasting

My wife has been getting the beans we use from Coffee Corral. They seem to be in the area of 7 to 8 dollars a pound with an occasional sale. The premium beans are higher, but the ones we have bought have been reasonable.

☕ Coffee ☕: Ingredients, Roasting, Grinding, Brewing, and Tasting

I am still new to this and it has been fun. Trying different styles and roast profiles to see where I can get to where I am consistant

    Yeast for possible reuse

Thanks for all the replies. I guess I need to work out a schedule where I can brew one less hoppy beer and then once it is done and in the keg get another one going and figure I will need to bottle that one.

    iSpindel Review

Thank you for the info. I will give it a try. I had brewspy and for some reason I could not get it to work, but I did like it, so let's give it a go again. LOL. Thanks again, will certainly give it a try on my next brew day.

    iSpindel Review

I used both Brewspy and Brewfather and could not get it to work. I think it is in the setup that I did. I need to go back thru it and start all over.

    iSpindel Review

For me, I am certain it is user error. I am not good with tech stuff, and I think when I set it up with Brewfather I messed something up. I am going to try again to fool with it, but just when I have enough patience for it. LOL

    iSpindel Review

Glad to see you are enjoying it. I bought one and it worked the first run perfectly. Since then, I have tried it twice or three times and it will not give me a gravity reading. It is now collecting dust in the closet I store all my beer stuff in. I have a Plaato airlock that my wife bought...

    My next brew day

Wow, by the 24 hour mark this yeast really took off. Fermenter is set at 67, but the temp is reading 72. First time I have noticed such a big temp output by the yeast. I am thinking of trying to dial it down a bit, but heck, if it is going this good why fool with it, right? Smells good, so I...

    Yeast for possible reuse

OK, so I put some of my WLP001 in mason jars and stuck them in my fridge in my shop. I was going thru the crap out there and realized it was still in there I labeled it to be Feb 17th of this year. Is this stuff still good? One is a small jar about half full with light grey matter and, I am...

    My next brew day

I hope so. LOL. It took less than 12 hours for the yeast to start working, so that is a good sign. Gonna let it ride for at least a week then dry hop for 3 or 4 days. Then bottle after that as my keg is full. I figure about two weeks and it will be in the bottle. Another week or so and I...

    bagel hack

Well now, if we are branching out, we are lucky enough to have, what I think, is the best sourdough in the country. Place called Raymonds. Small place but you can walk in anytime and the loaves are still warm. I usually buy one for home and get a small round and eat it in the car. LOL.

    Hop Stand

Yep, that is the one I have I think. This time is plugged up so I had to rinse it out and resanitize. I have never done a hop stand and I just threw the hops in. First time and it got everything all plugged up. LOL.

    My next brew day

Boy did things go south on me today. I decided to try my hand at using my Inkbird thermometer instead of the thermo in my kettle. I was all over the place. At one point I was at 160 and then I was at 151. So, with that said, who knows what this is going to be like. According to Brewfather...

    Lallemand Verdant IPA yeast

OK, cool. I will hook it up just in case the temp falls for some reason. My ferm fridge usually is good at about 65 or so when it is not running, so that should be ok for this I am guessing.

    Lallemand Verdant IPA yeast

Sorry to revive this thread, but I think brew day is today. So, as I am reading, pitch at about 68 or so and let it get to the low 70's? That is going to be interesting as my fermenting fridge usually only holds in the mid 60's. I have used a heating pad to up the temps a bit, so this should...

    Hop Stand

Greetings to all, in my attempt to try something new, I am going to work a hop stand into my next brew. Having never done this before, I am curious about a few things. I use a hop bag for all my hops during the boil, as I am boiling on a propane burner with a 10 gallon kettle. I don't use a...

    bagel hack

As much as I hate Costco, they have a really good bagel in the one by me. You have to buy two six packs, but the cheese one and the everything is good. I like them cause I can get the crisp outside like was described. But, I do have to cool it down to get the Cream Cheese on it to stay. I...
