    Skimming hot break poll

My step father taught me to skim, but he was also super cautious to not aerate the wort. If I'm feeling frisky I'll skim but in general I just let er rip.

What I did for beer today

Planted Cascade and Chinook hops. Never grown hops before, so this will be fun. Getting ready to keg a cream ale and sitting by the still waiting to reach temp. Not a bad Sunday for a weekend without brewing.

    Bucket v.s. conical v.s. unitank

That makes sense. Yes, I want to start harvesting yeast, but my plan was to over produce on my starters and save away a bit for the next brew. Just continue on with that cycle (so long as I can before buying a fresh package). Have you worked with either of the buckets before? I was looking at...

    Bucket v.s. conical v.s. unitank

Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% sure you can. I guess what I'm getting at is am I missing out on something. Seeing how popular they are it just makes you wonder if the investment cost is actually worth it as far as time, space, and quality are concerned. I've never used one and don't know anyone...

    Bucket v.s. conical v.s. unitank

I'm trying hard to justify a spike CF10 unitank with all the bells, whistles, and cup holders but at $1,100 it's hard to justify. So has anyone really found a quality difference after switching from plastic buckets and glass carboys to a unitank or conical fermenter? I love all the extra quality...

    Naming A Recipe

I used to let my beer name itself. Like my Redheaded Whore, a red IPA that liked getting passed around. Now I name them after my dog and style. Snow Roll Winter Stout, Couch Potato IPA..... Although some will get renamed. That's sort of the fun with brewing for me, the whole "I have my own...

How often and at what volume is everyone brewing?

So glad others are brewing as much and more than myself! Now I have ammo to get the wife off my back!
