    ICEMASTER MAX 2

Use a small flat top screwdriver to move the inside plastic ring outwards from the tee. This unlocks it and it should slide right off.

    ICEMASTER MAX 2

I got the ones from Brewtools (got an F80 coming) but hard on the chiller side. Looking at a Duotight fitting to go on the chiller barbs that go to 1/2” NTP. Then the Brewtools quick disconnects. I’m sure there are other disconnects available as well.

    ICEMASTER MAX 2

Just wire in the heating pad to your Max2. Pretty straightforward, just cut your hot line and add 2 blade type connectors. Might need a bit of wire depending on your setup. Nice with just 1 controller.

    ICEMASTER MAX 2

So will unit heat just like the G20.1 does as well? Noticed “Heat and Cool” writen on the pump controller.

    Electric HLT

Good point. The B80Pro take 2 x 20 amp ccts (they don't draw all that and you can limit the cct amperage) and I have a regular hot water heater as well. And never talked about heat yet as I live in Newfoundland! So alot of big loads on that 50 amps! It does make sense though. I can limit the...

    Electric HLT

I brew in a garage that is separate from my house, only have 50 amp total out there. Most batches I'll be only heating 30L of sparge water.

    Electric HLT

I don't have anything yet. Don't have to room for a 3 tank setup, only 2. That's why I am thinking a good all-in-one and then a kettle for a HLT. Don't want to spend to much on the HLT. Looking at the Brau Supply for the kettle (it got 4 TC ports) and cheaper controller. I don't need much...

    Electric HLT

Hi all, I am upgrading my brewery and pretty sure im going with the 80 L Brewtools. Id like to be able to sparge directly from a HLT but can seem to find a cheap electric kettle. Alot out there with 2 ports but i dont really wanna go through the trouble of adding a third for a heating element...

    Honey Brews

So I just wanted to share the outcome with everyone and thanks for all the input. Final beer was really light and had a lasting sweetness and taste from the honey. Maybe a little too sweet as it didn’t seem that I got any secondary fermentation. Gonna adjust the recipe to add less honey at...

EVABarrier Double Wall Tubing - Hose Clamps

Thanks. Exactly what I want to do! Don't wanna have to buy new valves and take out good ones already on the manifold. I was looking at the DuoTight fittings. They have a nice little inline secondary regulator that's a pretty good price. Just need a couple so I have run a keg or 2 at 9-10 PSI.

EVABarrier Double Wall Tubing - Hose Clamps

Hi All, Just wondering how stiff this tubing is? Can you use standard hose clamps on it? Wondering if I can use it with a standard manifold with hose barbs. Thanks in advance!

Lalbrew London ESB Yeast - Aggressive

So put my first batch of Best Bitter down last week and had to go out of town for a few days. When I got back the fermenter had blown off the bung and even lifted the lid of the plastic bucket fermenter a bit. I cleaned it up and replaced the bung and took a gravity reading. The OG was 1.044...

    Honey Brews

I usually keg my beer. The fg is only 1.009? The primary fermentation is going to finish really dry. In a cold keg with pressure you shouldn’t get much more fermentation.

    Honey Brews

I’m new to recipe writing and was thinking the floral tones in the Fuggle would compliment the honey but you are probably right. The bit of caramel was for a bit of colour as without it it comes in with an EBC of 5. Maybe I’m being 2 picky. Maybe a few grams of a roasted malt? I didn’t want any...

    Honey Brews

Unfortunately I don’t have a supplier close by and have to order everything. I do have us-05 so I’ll try that. Here is a peak of what I have put together. I picked the UK hops that wouldn’t be to strong. A little bit of caramel for colour but still not sure on that. Maybe leave out for first...

    Honey Brews

I dont really have the experience or the cold storage to do a lager yet. I like the grain suggestion. Maybe Amber honey ale?

    Honey Brews

I am planning on kegging it and I got some us05 so maybe next weeks brew. I think I’ll try some upfront and then some prior to the keg as you said. And simplfy the malts too. Thanks for all the advice. Ill post a link to my Brewfather recipe if your interested in following.

    Honey Brews

I make a lot of mead and usually use a champagne yeast for that. A lavlin d-47 or ec-1118. I don’t know how that would make out with a beer. Usually meads are starting out at 1.100 or higher. I like the back sweetening idea but how do you address the problem of fermentation starting again...
