    Shiner Ruby Redbird Clone Recipe

Good Morning, I was struggling to decipher a final recipe that everyone liked too so I just winged it after reading everyone's experiences. Attached is my recipe. After kegging and tasting I thought it was great! Only change I will make is to add less ginger next time. Maybe dial back to 2...

    Hard seltzer advice

I really havent had the issues described in this thread but I can not for the life of me dial in the carbonation! I have tried different length and ID line, different pressures and nothing. All the carbonation gets knocked out of suspension in the pour and I'm left with flat seltzer. anyone...

Cant find this KegLand part anywhere?!?!?!

Love the follow up! Too many times threads die without any final opinions or actual results. Thanks for your post adn 100% agreed on the magnet dryhop approach. Im going to begin 10 gallon batches in the larger all rounder. We will see how it works with 6 oz per bag for a total of 12 oz per...

Lutra kveik with Propper seltzer stuck ferm.

Flavor was really like clean water with some sweetness. I didn't pick up much alcohol flavors. When adding flavoring extract it covers 100% of any noticeable alcohol. The sweetness does come through though after flavoring. I think it also needs some acid. Commercial seltzers seem somewhat...

Cant find this KegLand part anywhere?!?!?!

2 different fermentors. The all Rounder doesn't have the jar on bottom only their conical one does.

Cant find this KegLand part anywhere?!?!?!

Great idea...I took the lazy mans way with the sued vied weights but it works ok. Not always for getting the bags out of beer but for getting them in on schedule its great. The fermzilla continues to make my life alot easier than glass carboys! Cheers, E

What is your favorite IPA yeast besides...

If I'm not trying to impart flavor contribution from yeast I love US-05 for its cost and ease of use. Its vigorous not pickey about temp and finishes perfectly every time. For my NEIPA my hands down favorite is absolutely Imperial A38 "Juice" I have brewed the same neipa recipe with many...

Cant find this KegLand part anywhere?!?!?!

You guys are awesome! I was so amped on getting this set up when I origionally posted and thought it was going to be a game changer! Then I tried the magnet solution and am actually loving it! Its so easy and definitively O2free. I did lose a bag on my last brew trying to poull the hop bag out...

Cant find this KegLand part anywhere?!?!?!

Nope! I even emailed with Kegland and came to a complete dead end. So I bought some sue vide magnet weights. now after I oxginanate my wort and pitch yeast I Place each dry hop charge into a muslin bag with one magnet and the other magnet on the outside of the firmemnter. Then when it's time to...

First neipa, ever need feed back

I also would adjust the day hopping scedule. My preference is using 3 different varieties not just 2 (I like citra, mosiac and cascade) and dryhopping at high krausen then again at 3 days before kegging. Even if your not into water chemistry yet you need to get your chloride to sulfate ratio...

American Pale Ale Coldwater 420 - Special Pale Ale

Hey there...So I completely agree and will forget the midnight wheat the next time I brew this. I just dont think its necessary and on a 5 gallon batch it would be such a small amount. I think 420 is much lighter than most pale ales. Either way this is a great recipe and will 100% be my house...

American Pale Ale Coldwater 420 - Special Pale Ale

Tapped the new keg of this clone yesterday and did a blind taste test with a few friends. My take was that this clone was so similar. All but one taster chose my version over the real 420. They were so similar the real only difference I could tell was that mine was just fresher which I know...

Throwing everything into the keg with floating dip tube to see what happens. Blueberry/coffee/loose hops sour

Seems like an aweful lot of unknown variables going on there. If you dont mind having a potentialy negitive outcome I say absolutely go for it! I hate dumping beer so personally I would rack to secondary to add all those things then cold crash then transfer to the keg. Just my 2 cents, E

    Dry Hopping enough?

Quick thought too. Review your dryhop schedule. I like 1st dryhop on day 3 during high krausen (see biotransformation) and 2nd 3 days before packaging. Would highly recommended kegging a NEIPA if at all possible although you sound very aware of oxygenation already. Another thought is to make...

American Pale Ale Coldwater 420 - Special Pale Ale

So here is my new take on the recipe. My 1st brew was using the Austin Homebrew Clone. Now this 2nd time I took out the crystal and added 1lb of wheat and also .0625lb of midnight wheat. The color falls into the acceptable scale of Pale ale. Austin version 16.7EBC and this new version 17.8 I...

American Pale Ale Coldwater 420 - Special Pale Ale

The Austin Homebrew recipe calls for 1lb of crystal 40L, 8.5lb of 2 row and 2lb of Munich. On the Sweetwater website it states their grain bill as 2 row Munich Wheat and Midnight wheat. If I were to keep the 2row and Munich amounts the same what amounts of the wheat and midnight wheat do you...
