    Flat beer

I'm not cold crashing them, the kit instructions don't say anything about that. What exactly do you mean though. If it will help then I could give it a go. I'd be scared to add yeast before bottling as I've had many bottle bombs from where it hadn't finished fermentation (I believe) but willing...

    Flat beer

I just leave them out of the sunlight in the garage. In the UK. So guess it gets colder at night and warmer during the day, I guess this fluctuations aren't helping. What do others do?

    Flat beer

Hi thanks for your reply. So I've just done a cider and it came with a pouch of sugar, so I transferred into a separate bucket leaving the sediment behind then stirred in the sugar pouch in boiling water then added to batch then bottled. That seems to have gone well. So are you saying do that...

    Flat beer

hi all So far I've done around 10 brews with varying success. I have only done the kits, lager pilsner and ciders. Mainly coopers kits and mangrovejack kits. I've had a couple come out good, ciders seem to be more fool proof. Anyway a few have come out flat or very little carbonation and I can't...

    5l keg. Flat

Hi thanks for replying. When I say flat I don't mean after an amount of time I mean first couple of pints are just froth then every pint after is flat, so not a case of going back to the keg later and it be flat. The tap has a co2 cartridge in the handle. Kit I bought is this...

    5l keg. Flat

Hi all. New to brewing. I've made a 2 batches of coopers lager, 1 was ditched as tasted awful due to a few mistakes, 2and batch went really well. Bottling works well but I also tried the 5l party keg system from brewferm, however when using the party tap it came out flat. Initially it was very...

    Newbie questions

Thanks for your reply. Like I said totally new to it so don't know what I should be looking for. It wasn't the no rinse stuff. Looking through the bucket it looks like a bit of foam layer in there and the airlock thingy keeps bubbling away every so often. Not sure how foamy it should look. As...

    Newbie questions

Hi all I'm new to home brewing, I a couple of days ago bought a basic kit and am trying the coopers lager kit. I think I made a couple of errors but at the same time I have nothing to compare it to, in terms of how it should look at what stage. So few errors I made are, 1.Don't think I rinsed...
