Closed Transfer: What About the Jumper Lines?

I use a double sided jumper to purge my transfer line with CO2. Then I ‘purge’ the line with beer from my fermenter, and discard a few ounces that might get a bit of O2 exposure. After that I connect to my keg and transfer, and hope it was enough.

    Gluing Hardwood to Pine Collar?

Shop vac is my crisis plan. If it’s empty it comes off the bottom pretty easily. It’s on wheels so you can move it around as needed.

    Gluing Hardwood to Pine Collar?

I’m no woodworker so I probably did this wrong, but I used brad nails and glue to add oak to the outside of my pine collar. So far 2 years with no issues.

I’m also in camp don’t attach it. 2x8 collar with some 0.5”x10” oak faces hold it in place.

Spike Conical- observations and best practices

New replacement gaskets are in. Got mine in the mail today. They no longer have a flat side and a pointed side but now both sides have the same point. Will pressure test it tomorrow but went in just as easy as the old style. Tried my best to get a photo - new on left old on right.

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

I was able to load the alpha version via the web flasher and access the AP / configure the device. Went out to the garage to connect to the tilt and it seems its battery died. Now I need to wait another week to retrieve my tilt from the fermenter.

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

I'm also experiencing the same issues as Franz and Stov. D32 Pro with the Lolin TFT. I've used both the web loader and the desktop 1.3. I get "Firmware successfully flashed. Unplug/replug or reset device to switch back to normal boot mode." The screen turns white but no text and I can't see...

    Spike Trio...15g or 20g help

I don't have the spike system, but do have issues with my kettle sizes. I have 10 gallon kettles for my system, and for a 5 gallon batch I'm usually around 7-8 gallons into the boil kettle. This means i have to watch my entire boil carefully to ensure no boil overs. For 5 gallon batches I wish...

Spike Conical- observations and best practices

Finally got my first brew into the conical yesterday! Everything went well. Took 2 hours to get from 100F to 66F pitch temps vs. my previous 6 hours in a chest freezer with a PET conical. . Used a ball lock gas post to oxygenate this time, will try out the carb stone next time. I did this...

    Beer Leak Help

The entire piece (the elbow to beer line connector) is called a tail piece. Hard to see from your photo. It looks like it may be integrated with the shank?

    Making a kegarater

You’d need to find a way to keep the line that’s outside the kegerator chilled most likely - assuming this line is permanently in place. Warm beer lines will foam on you. This isn’t easy/cheap to do which is why most homebrewers use keezers or towers where they can better control line temps.

Spike Conical- observations and best practices

Yeah, I'm one of them. I haven't had time to update here until now. I did hear back after 3 weeks, and like you I was getting frustrated. What I was told was this was a supplier/material issue with the gasket, which is somehow causing poor gasket fitment and thus leaks. They offered me a...
