I think you can also use conventional humidifiers home. I have a basement and unsuccessful cheese experiments, I've abandoned the idea so far, but I haven't had enough humidity. I live in a dry climate now, so I put in a normal humidifier during my experiment to do the right thing.

I remember making so much that I had to leave a friend to leave some of his bottles with the neighbors. You have no idea how funny it was to explain the situation to them :)
