    On 8/21, our Son lost his 13 month battle with a rare and aggressive sarcoma. I want to make a Cider in his honor. His gaming name was Exploding Weasle, so I am thinking a habanero or jalapeno flavored cider. Any recipes? Experience? Thanks in advance!

    No, not acidic...I just wasnt a fan. I did use puree in the primary. Next time, I will add fruit in secondary, maybe just not mango.😁

    I just bottled my Mango Mead at 3 months. Personally, not my cup of tea! 9%abv, but..I will still count it as a success because my Mead-y friend were really enjoying it! Next time, I will try a different recipe!

    I am so excited! I made this one by myself. I was worried because I added the FJC in the beginning on the advice of our local brew supply guys. The results, a very dry and high alcohol cider...not what I wanted. So I backsweetened with a half pound of lactose, still not right. But I kegged it...

    I just separated the yeast and must out and am getting ready to wait for the mead to be finished. The recipe said 1-3 months. Any advice as to the benefits of waiting the full 3 months? It smelled quite delicious!

    Back sweetening cider- options

    Well..since i followed what my brewing supply guys said to do, I am stuck with it. Fingers are crossed. I will keg it in 1.5 weeks, they said to let it sit 2 more...veey curious now! First time making a cider btw. Thanks for the advice!

    Hello, I’m new to mead making and want some advice on my first attempt

    I just made ny first Mead today. It uses orange clover honey and mango puree. It really went smooth, but the directions didn't say to shake....now I am worried! we shall see!

    Adding Cinnamon to a Cider

    So glad to see this post. We are making our 2nd cider, after 2 weeks...no alcohol. We were hoping it wasn't the cinnamon sticks. It fermented in our inside brewing closet next to our stout (turned out fine). Not sure what happened.
