Shouldn't use a dimmer to control a motor , one or the other will burn up.You need to use a rheostat for a variable speed on a motor.

If you wanted to protect the bottles from being scratched by the copper you could put some heat shrink tubing on the pipes. Pretty cheap and would work great.

Pre boil was 6.5 gal and post was a little over 5 gal. The crush looked great! Probably the best yet ,definitely didn't measure wrong.I also used 2 different hydrometers just to be sure.
