    Trashcan Kegerator

Damn, that is what I plan on building this weekend. I was looking at my local hardware store at the various cans they had. That looks like a rubbermaid 34 gallon can, is that correct? EDIT: I take that back, it looks like the 45 gallon can. I was planning on using my old 2 tap tower for it...

Looking for a Wood bar top

This will likely be a bit more on the pricey side, and depending on how deep you want the counter to be.... I saw this in an actual bar and it looked amazing, they used a PSL beam, sanded smooth and lacquered. Think it was the 2 11/16"x 18". The PSL not LVL or LSL...

    DIY temp controller build

Well the Brewtroller guys have also made it capable of being a fermentation temp cotroller as well. Uses the Sanguino chip (very similiar to the arduino). Check it out Latest Updates | BrewTroller Already put together and functioning, no need to code something up yourself.

Yet another "Under-the-workbench" Fermentation Chamber Build

I work in the construction defect industry, and you will absolutely have to seal the inside of your chamber to be as airtight as possible. You will get vapor transmission up into the cavity with the insulation, and the batt insulation will act like a sponge and soak up any moisture in the...

    Bar Finishing

I used it over some ceramic tiles. I put it 1/8" thick and yes let it run over the edges of my wood trim that was used as a dam. I filled it and let it run over the edge, but had a defined area masked off with the blue painters tape and during the intial hour of curing used a poly brush to...

    Bar Finishing

+1 for epoxy on bar tops. I was going to use the envirotex lite but found a comparable product locally that they mis-quoted me a price that was cheaper than the envirotex. They realized they screwed up but still honored the quoted price. The product I used is called "Orca 1100 UV Stable"...

    help on e-HERMS wiring

Are your SSR's switched by DC or AC? Brewtroller outputs 12VDC to switch the SSR, your PID may be using AC and your SSR's are possibly AC, and perhaps thats why they work with the Auber.

    Epoxy bartop buffing/scratch remover?

OK here is an update - I couldnt find any sandpaper above 600 grit so thats what i started with to test. I sanded down the area....which made me feel sick because the nice clear epoxy finish had thousands of fine white scrates all over it. But I proceeded till the raised areas where pretty...

    Epoxy bartop buffing/scratch remover?

I am in the process of building a bar in my basement during my spare time. I recently coated my bartop with a 2-part epoxy resin, and am very pleased with the results. However, I did have one problem…. My bar is an “L” shape so I had to do my epoxy coats in two applications. I would have...

    DIY 4 tap tower

I have that fan, it is ridiculously loud. It may be okay if it tucked away in an insulated area, but out in the open air..... I hate it.

using pvc piping to run beer lines into wall?

I did something similiar to what you are planning. I thing I used 2.5" pvc with pipe insulation arounf my four lines. Getting the lines and insulation to bend in the 90 degree elbow was tight but worked. My run was only about 1 foot out the side and 1 foot up the wall, for me the total length...

    Bar finally under construction!

And Here are some shots with the tile on. Trim is on but not stained. Taps are lifted way up out of the way. Am planning on topping the tiles with the clear bar top epoxy, Envirotex Lite.

Adding a drain to stainless drip tray?

After about 3 months of not working on my bar, I finally picked out my counter surface material and have started working on it again. I have this drip tray, and decided I want to add adrain line to it... 19" STAINLESS DRIP TRAY @ Williams Brewing I was going to just buy a new one with the...
