Beer engine "cellar" chamber solutions - photos, please

I put it above in #8. No I don’t have a real cask. I have it set up to use a corny keg. I have to vent the pressure release. Leave the pressure release open. Work the hand pump. Close the pressure release and re-pressurize when I’m done. Store the keg in my kegerator. I don’t have any way to...

Beer engine "cellar" chamber solutions - photos, please

Thanks. Total Wine helps. We have one that is about a 40 min drive. And there’s another discount beer place here. I just got that 30 pack of Strohs for $10. And 2 cases of Ultra in bottles also $10 each. Hard to pass for about .33 a can/bottle

Beer engine "cellar" chamber solutions - photos, please

Was a work in progress for awhile. Took years to get to this. And I know its not as nice as what some others here have. After we finished this basement I found a 5 foot wood bar with a footrail and mirror back bar at a consignment shop. Then I found the buffet server at another consignment...

Mini Kegs with Non threaded CO2 cartridges

I haven’t had any issues with mine. But I never had beer in it for months or a decade. Its a half gallon of beer. 4 pints or a little over 5 x 12 oz beers. I mostly use it to take my beer to homebrew club meetings or if I get a growler from a brewpub its in there 3 or 4 days at the most.

Mini Kegs with Non threaded CO2 cartridges

That one looks really cool and I’m looking at that wondering if it could be adapted for a beer engine. If you didn’t use a cartridge and could somehow connect the engine to where the faucet goes on.

home brew supplies business plan help

I took a run at having a store in the Philadelphia area from late 2000 and it lasted not quite 4 years to 2004. Many issues, some of which have only gotten worse. I’m going to say it was never really profitable. I could not afford to have any employees. Many weeks I couldn’t pay myself. I...

poll - how do you transfer your beer?

We don’t syphon off the top of the bucket. The syphon goes well under the liquid and we’re picking up from just above the sediment. That said, I still use the Autosyphon same as I did in the 90s when I first started. I haven’t gotten into closed transfers.

Beer engine "cellar" chamber solutions - photos, please

I haven’t used my beer engine in awhile. I don’t own any real casks. I don’t have a real cask setup. I have mine set up to use with corny kegs. I vent the keg, leave the pressure release open, attach the disconnect after the pressure is out. Then I can use it. Afterwards, I close the...

    Modelo?

Hazy IPAs and sour beers are not for everybody. The average person is not a brewer or a homebrewer. They haven’t gone through the education - and there is quite a lot whether anybody realizes it or not. They don’t know cascade hops from mosaic and most don’t know the difference between an ale...

    What are you drinking now?

I dedicated a RIS to our cat who had to be put down right before Christmas. He was a Russian Blue. Its an Imperial stout aged for about 7 months on bourbon soaked oak cubes. AI made me this label.

    What are you drinking now?

Finishing up a bottle of Canadian whiskey with a couple ounces in it. I used to drink Canadian more when I was younger and I loved it back then. Now it just seems bland and boring. Bourbon and Scotch are both just so much better.

    Which Software to pay for?

I use BeerTools. https://www.beertools.com/ Works on mac and PC. Keep your own recipe library and they have a large database. I think its about $25 (the cost of a case of cheap lager) and worth every cent. I think there is some affiliation with BYO magazine. They say its software for...

Can Cask Beer be Mimicked in something besides a Pin or Firkin?

I have a bunch of these laying around, like 10 of them. They only have the one opening at the top. I have a an old Phil tap that goes through the bung at the top. I haven’t used one of these for years. It would be nice if somebody came up with a way to tap one of these for a beer engine. I...
