Need names for 90’s themed party

Thanks guys! Y’all were a lot more creative than I was. I decided on “Czech Yo Self” and “Smells like Teen Cider.” Y’all rock!

Need names for 90’s themed party

So, as the title states I’m needing names for a beer and a cider that I brewed for a 90’s themed Halloween party. It’s a Czech Pilsner and just a normal hard apple cider. I’m usually decent with names, but I’m really struggling this time. Thanks!

    Spike Flex Plus Owners

I have the flex plus and am totally happy with it, but if I get a second ferment or it will be a conical with a yeast dump. Being able to dump the yeast to “secondary” with fruit would be cool. I don’t want to have to actually transfer to another fermentor. I’m waiting to get glycol before I get...

    Spike Solo double milling?

I recently bought a 15 gal spike solo/ warthog system from High Gravity Brewing. Basically it’s a spike solo with a Blichmann Boil Coil and a WartHog controller (it’s a local company that was a lifetime warranty on their controller). This checked all the boxes for the perfect system for me...

    Spike Solo - Real Reviews

Punx, How did you set up your auto sparge on the tri clamp basket? I am looking at getting a 15 gal warthog/spike solo system from high gravity. I like tri clamp for cleaning purposes, but I can’t figure out how I would hook up an auto sparge.

Looking for a ball lock relief valve

Sorry, I should have been clearer. It has a spunding valve that releases pressure by screwing it in. But I’m looking for a quick relief type valve similar to the one on a keg lid.

Looking for a ball lock relief valve

Ok, this is a little more complicated than it sounds. I have a spike flex+ and a blichmann spunding valve. What the blichmann spunding valve doesn’t have is a relief valve on it. The only way to safely release the pressure is to put a ball lock gas disconnect on it and let that remove the...

Which beer needs to condition longer?

    Thanks. Sounds like a plan.

Which beer needs to condition longer?

I put this in the general section, but please move it if another section suits it better. I have been asked to brew a couple of beers for a Halloween party (on Halloween). Today is September 14 for reference. I am brewing the Irish Red from Brewing classic styles and a Guinness clone. I’ll be...

    Fermentation chamber build question

Mongoose, I totally understand where you are coming from. It looking “kludgy” (that’s a new one to me) is something I was afraid of. It’s not a height issue but a depth (front to back) issue. And I was trying to make something that doesn’t require me to lift the flex in and out of it to do...

    Fermentation chamber build question

I recently upgraded to the spike flex, which doesn't really fit in my 5 cuft. chest freezer I have been using as a fermentation chamber. I decided to try to build a bigger ferm chamber instead of going with glycol for now. My thought was to build a box on top of my chest freezer. I was...

    Sight glass on Spike Flex

So, I saw today that Spike brewing came out with a 1.5” TC sight glass for the Flex line of fermenters. I am trying to understand the use of a sight glass when there isn’t a bottom port. Would you just put it on one of the side ports and have a representation of what is going on in the rest of...

    Be careful with cocktail kegs!

Yeah, I am going to get some backflow preventers. I don’t want to go through that again. I used to use sanke kegs, and the couplers come with backflow preventers, so it didn’t occur to me that ball lock kegs don’t have them.

Can I pressure transfer with beer gas?

Vale, I see what you mean about liquid vs gas. I just meant it is about the same price to fill a tank of beer gas as it is to fill a CO2 tank. (The tanks are of a similar size.) But yeah, I can see where a full CO2 tank would have more gas than a full beer gas tank.

Can I pressure transfer with beer gas?

I assume the reason it doesn’t last as long is because it is ran at 35psi or so, vs 12-14 psi for CO2 on average. It they were both ran at similar pressures wouldn’t they last the same amount of time? I am just talking about a couple of psi to transfer with. And if I remember right, they are...

Can I pressure transfer with beer gas?

My question is exactly as stated in the title. I have a CO2 setup in my keezer. It would be silly to remove that everytime I need to transfer from fermenter to keg. I also have nitro setup that is not currently in my keezer. Would there be any issues with using my nitro setup (75/25 - N/CO2) To...

    Be careful with cocktail kegs!

Here is a little story of warning for you guys. So I altered one of my corney kegs to serve margaritas for Cinco de Mayo. I put a liquid dip tube in place of the gas in tube, which forces the gas (beer gas in this case) in from the bottom. This keeps the cocktail from settling, as the gas coming...

    Harvesting kveik from cider

Alright, so I normally keep a cider on tap for the summer months. I usually use 3711, but I thought it would be fun to try kveik in a cider. I think there is a LHBS in my area that sells some of the omega stuff, but it may be a little hard to come by. My question is whether or not I can top...

    Splash free mat

Mongoose, are those just magnets holding your drip tray up? Can you set a beer on it? I’ve considered magnets for a temporary drip tray, but have been afraid it wouldn’t hold a beer if someone set one on it.

    Splash free mat

So this is a little random, but I am looking for a splash free mat to put under the taps of my keezer. I am currently using a rubber mat, which is easy to clean, but it still splashes when drops hit it. This causes the lower front of my kegerator to look dirty. I have a Cinco de Mayo party...
