Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

Its good, but it doesn't have its issues. If you look at reviews for it you'll see that several people have had issues with the drain port leaking. I too had that issue, but it was a relatively easy fix. Just not something I felt I should have to do since the manufacturer should fix the known...

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

I’m currently using a TC thermowell with an inkbird sensor in it. Eventually I plan to upgrade to a BCS or Pi instead, but I first need to get a few other brewhouse components finished up before I spend the time wiring something up. You can see the inkbird and thermowell in the photo I posted...

If I recall BH told me they are rated for 30 with a working pressure of 15, but I could be mistaken.

I’m thinking about adding heavy duty equipment stand casters to mine since the legs are 1.5”. Each caster under my brew stand is rated for 150 pounds. I’ll let you know if I do and how it works out since that adds 5 inches. Still won’t be enough for a harvester, but will hopefully make moving it...

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

I have the brewers hardware conical. The only issue I have with it over the SS is heating. There really isn’t a good way to heat it in my opinion if you ever need to do so. My thoughts on how I could if ever needed is either try wrapping it with a heat mat or using a separate glycol bath that is...

How to heat a jacketed conical

I know this is an old thread, but I've been toying with the idea of how to accomplish this as well. So far I've come up with the idea of creating a manifold for the glycol to go through on both the input and output side of the conical. Then on the manifold I'll have two motorized ball valves...

Does anybody have experience with Candi Syrup d-240

How is it tasting now that it has a little more age on it? Also do you mind posting the recipe you used for this?

Help with 12V Temp Controller and Motorized Valves

DENBrewer did you ever finish this project? I'm looking to do the same thing or use 120V ball valves and STC-1000 instead if this didn't work well for you.

Ss BrewTech Chronical + Pump Cart = Ultimate CIP

How is this pump holding up for you? Does it do well with heated solutions? Thanks.

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

Thanks. It doesn't seem to work anymore. Guess I'll hold off on buying it until I get my brewing area completely built out. Figured I'd order it now and save the $50. Oh well.

For some reason the forum won't let me post the link to the hose. It's located in their heater hose section and costs $2.84 per foot.

Jason thanks for the schematic layout. Are you heating yours as well? If so are you using a heat mat wrap?

    Linear Actuator Tippy Dump

Thank you for the replies. Something similar to Brewmasterorr's version is what I envisioned building since I'd like to keep the brew stand pushed up against the wall when I tip it. This way I can anchor the stand to the wall. Crane I completely agree that the center fulcrum it would make for...

Thanks! I have a BCS 462 laying around so might be a better option for me.

Jason, I wouldn't mind a wiring diagram since I may go that route over the SS FTSS's

The one SS sells on their site has room for multiple pumps to fit inside the glycol reservoir (up to 4). No solenoid valves needed since the pumps for the FTSS are used to pump the glycol to each individual conical.

Kim, Those look like nice fittings. Let me know if you end up ordering some and how you like them since I'll be needing some for my build soon too.
