Fermented for 2 months. Is that okay? Anything I should know?

Hi everyone, As the title states, I’ve had my beer in the fermenter (since fermentation) for the past 2 months. It only required 2 weeks according to the directions. My questions are, is that okay? Do I need to do anything different when I transfer to the bottling bucket? Thanks all!

    Safale US-05 yeast - temp

Thanks all! Looks like I may not have needed to buy this brewbelt after all. Always good to still have handy if needed for an emergency.

    Safale US-05 yeast - temp

Hi all, I’m curious as to whether you follow the temp recommendations on the back of the yeast packs or if there is a specific temp I should be following depending on the type of brew... I am currently brewing Conundrum Sessions IPA, and my temp strip on the side of the fermenter reads...

    Fermenter heating suggestions? FermWrap?

Thanks everyone for the great responses. I’m from Philadelphia, so right now it’s on the 20’s outside. I typically brew IPA’s, and the fermenter currently is holding at 60 degrees F. With that being said, should I go and purchase a temp controller and FermWrap? What about the “belts” I’ve seen...

    Fermenter heating suggestions? FermWrap?

Hi all, I’m looking to purchase a fermenter warmer tonight/tomorrow and id like to know what you find works best for you. I brew 5 gallon batches, and do not have a fancy setup. So, something like the FermWrap is what I’m looking at. However, I’ve also seen interesting things such as Inkbird...

    Electric appliance to boil wort?

Thanks all! I see in that link provided it’s actually 120v. So this wouldn’t work plugged in to 120? Also, I have a 8 gallon stainless kettle. This isn’t something you just sit on top of it and it heats up?

    Electric appliance to boil wort?

That looks like EXACTLY what I was hoping to find. Would that boil 5 gallon batches do you think?!

    Electric appliance to boil wort?

Thanks! Is there a brand/specific appliance I could look at to purchase?

    Electric appliance to boil wort?

Hi all, Is there a such thing as an electric appliance (like a hot-plate type of appliance) that can boil 5 gallons of beer? I want to move my brew station to my garage and would love that option if it existed. Thanks! BrettCo

What to do after cider sits 4 months

Hi all, Just curious on what to do after I let my cider sit for 4 months. What I’m planning on doing is adding some graham cracker flavoring to it (no clue if this will taste good, but just thought I’d try in about 6 bottles). Any thoughts on this flavor? Also, I want to give out a 6 pack to...

    Fast pumpkin beer recipe?

Thanks all! My last question on this subject: I brewed an American wheat beer (4.6%). What if I added spice to those beers after I decant them and drink? Or should that be done solely in the primary fermenter?

    Fast pumpkin beer recipe?

Thanks so much all! I'm going to do this tonight. I am brewing extract, so would you consider real pumpkin at all then? What/how much spices should I use? Do I just add the spices in the fermenter? Can't wait to get one of these rolling.

What's the deal with my gravity readings?

Great advice! And definitely lesson learned on my end. Do not murder the yeast, lol. I'm still confused as to why it would say that on the directions then... I think I just messed up my initial reading and everything is just fine now

    Fast pumpkin beer recipe?

Meant to title this "simple pumpkin beer recipe". I know it won't be fast lol

    Fast pumpkin beer recipe?

Hey all, Just curious if there is a fairly simple recipe for a pumpkin beer brew, and if someone wouldn't mind sharing. I'm pushing the limits with Halloween right around the corner, but I'd love to get a simple, tasty pumpkin beer going. I really like southern tier pumpking and Warlock. I'd...

What's the deal with my gravity readings?

Thanks for the advice/concern everyone. Tons to learn from all of you on here. I can't imagine the priming sugar not being mixed well, because I vigorously shook the fermenter to mix everything up before letting it sit for the 5 weeks or so. I had to have just been rushing and not realizing the...

What's the deal with my gravity readings?

lol I have a second one ready to go! But I feel like that's really misleading then to put that it should cool down to 100 degrees on the directions... if that messes up my beer, I'd want the company to refund me. But I have good news! I cracked open one of the beers and took a gravity...

What's the deal with my gravity readings?

Sorry I left that out. I used a chiller and brought it down to 85 degrees. The instructions actually said to bring it down to 100 degrees, but I felt that was too high still.
