That heater element looks like a fire waiting to happen :( Good thing the epoxy failed and the connection melted before anything more serious went down...

Interesting that this hasn't had any activity for a week. Has there been an update? Are there any real world feedback stories from the Z1 units that shipped?

I guess I'm glad I didn't buy one... I am really hoping for a more refined tool. It's beautiful, but seems like it's still baking. :(

@HarkinBanks I confirmed with Brewie that it is a 1k discount and not a 1k price. They have a page on their site that says 1k, but I believe they are missing the word "off." So yeah, 1499 isn't enough to get me on the buying side of this yet, I don't think... The hunt continues, I guess.

Yeah, I read your ordeal and it's the reason I steered clear of the Brewie originally. I have a grainfather that I use, but I was hoping to end up with an automated system that allows me to run a brew from the comfort of my phone

So, I've read this a bit, and I just cancelled my Picobrew Z2 pre order.... Help me want a Brewie+. Are the bugs from the B20 worked out? What are the issues that people are experiencing with the Brewie+?

When I placed this order I thought I would retire the grain father and move fully into the automation of the z2. I looked hard at the brewie but I wasn’t convinced they were ready for prime time. I’m still seeing a few issues in their thread but I assume there will be issues with the z2 as well...

I'm not upset about taking more time to develop than they said in their email. I don't feel like this is a kickstarter gone wrong campaign where I will never see my money again. I genuinely just want the best product for my needs. At this time, I think the promise of Z2 automation fits that...

I guess the best news out of all of that is that I have more time to sit on the fence and wait to see if the Z2 is going to work properly and if it is the automation I'm looking for. If not, I'll cancel and move in another direction as well.
