[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I used two Cat 6 cables that run into my keezer. Those carry the data and power. Inside, I connected the power to a drone power distribution board. From the meters, I connected a three wire fan extension and clipped off one end, which were connected to the Cat 6 and distribution board. I...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Looks similar to the generic version I am using and I found my calibration with normal temp cold tap water is not the same as when I'm using beer - my pours on a 16 ounce register as 12. Out of curiosity, what is your tick count at?

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I purchased the YS-S402 off dx.com some time ago and installed 4 of them in my system. I did drill the opening to match on both sides and changed the pulse count, but I haven't dialed it in yet. When I originally installed them, I based the pulse count on a small, known quantity of water (16...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

We're gonna need more info bud. What hardware are you running? What version software are you running, etc.

    TiltPi

Yeah, not exactly an efficient solution. I did find if you install the tilt image first, you can install Pints on it and it will work. I've had mine going for the better part of a year now.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

More than a year, several reinstallations, many hours dabbling in code and learning my way around Linux, I have a working Pints system. Feel free to skip the rest of my rambling post - I'm stuck at home with kids and bored. I installed the Tilt Hydrometer image to manage my fermentation...

    Tilt Bluetooth Hydrometer Detailed Review

I actually did a Tilt setup on the Raspberry Pi, which also runs my RaspberryPints setup. Since they're both in the garage, and only ~12-15 feet apart, the Pi reads the Tilt's Bluetooth signal, which it then bumps via Wifi to brewstat.us for me. I can then log in remotely and view not only my...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Wouldn't be hard to do, I don't think - I run TiltPi in the background of RPints. Though, admittedly, I just bought another Pi for my RetroPi

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I used the John Guest PM4508F4S fittings. Same as I used on my keg posts.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Upgrading WILL break it, while Updating will not. It took me three attempts to realize this was the main problem. I had to reformat my card each time - of course, I was installing pints on top of a Tilt image, which was a challenge all to its own. Now I just need to complete my wiring, mount...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Not that I'm aware of. Most who chose to use cheaper sensors, including myself, chose THIS ONE. I didn't buy from this seller, but it was around the same price when I bought mine. The website I got mine from has since doubled in price - around $10 a sensor. I drilled mine out on the back...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Out of curiosity, how have I managed to get my 3B+ and Alamode to work, when others have not? And I am no super guru by any means. Disregard. I've found the issue. Seems the seller I purchased my Pi from had it listed as a 3B+, but when I looked at the actual board, it's only a 3B.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I only went with the Alamode because I had already purchased and assembled it when I got into the depths of the thread and found there were people using the Uno.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I followed these instructions and got mine working. Most importantly, power the Pi through the Alamode. Admittedly, it's been nearly a year since I programmed mine using these instructions, so some of the modules may no longer be accessible. Good Luck!

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

The Alamode will work, it just requires a little finesse, as does the 3b+ board. That said, I'm still running Jessie.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Make sure you are powering the Alamode and Pi via the Alamode Board. That was where my hangup was.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I bought these I drilled them out and modified the code for correct pours.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

The horde says, yes, I have. Some of the steps for updating the alamode should be followed from the Pints website - this was just to get it to run after the release of stretch. If you apt-get UPGRADE, you're done. It won't work. Here are the steps I used from a fresh Jesse boot: 1.Install...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

For future reference, in the U.S., one standard drink is defined as: Beer : 12 oz at 5% ABV Wine : 5 oz at 12% ABV Liquor : 1 1/2 oz at 40% ABV And for all those other questions we've had as of late - I tore my keezer apart for cleaning, the RPs installation, and my new beer gas setup install...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Sorry, for the late response, I've been busy. My pints project has been on hold as well, so I cannot comment on the flow meter modification yet. Maybe I'll get around to wiring the keezer in the next month.
