    Mypin setup/configuration

Thanks @bstacy1974! That's what I needed to know. I've corrected the offsets, so now I just need to wait till I'm finished with my build before I can do the autotune.

    Mypin setup/configuration

I picked up a used control panel that uses Mypin controllers. For the build out of the rest of system, I'm using ElectricBrewery's instructions. The 3 Mypins used on the controller are: TD4-SNR+SSR = Boil Kettle TA4-SNR+K = Mash tun TA4-SNR = HLT My temp probs are from Electric Brewery. I did...

    New to Electric brewing

So to make things interesting, my buddy added this generator plug for me, and to answer your question, its a dead man's switch.... With all that being said, its probably time for me to get up to code, and move my generator breaker up to the top so a interlock can be added, and add the 240V GFCI...

    New to Electric brewing

Thanks for the input. I'll look over the connections and give it a try with the 30 amp breaker. If it drives me crazy, I'll look into upgrading to a 50amp. I'll still need add another switch for the 2nd pump. I'm while I'm at it maybe switch the original light switch to one that will match the...

    New to Electric brewing

I'm currently working on switching my brewery from propane to electric. I figured I would start with the brain. I came across a control panel someone was getting rid of. They said it was about 8 years old, and they just didn't have time to brew anymore. I gave him $150 bucks for it and went on...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Thanks @LBussy, @duncan.brown, and @day_trippr! All good information. I love the control BrewPi Remix gives my fermentation, and now with the integrated Tilt readings! I went down the road of e-herms because of wanting more control over my mash temps. While my mash tun is insulated, I still...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

I'm toying with the idea of switching to an e-herms, from a propane system. I've seen the electric brewery setup, while crazy nice, I'm just surprised there is not a software based solution similar to BrewPi. Am I missing something?

Rebuilding My Brutus Hybrid Into a Kal Clone

@jcav! You embarked on this build 7+ years ago! I have a propane setup using keggles as well. Now that you have been brewing on this system for many years, what tweaks have you made with it? I'm looking at adding a HERMs to my setup and going electric and this thread has been incredible...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Thanks, I do not see a doFiware in my utils folder. I do have a doFlash? Would that be it? When I run doUpdate, thats whats calling the old updateFirmware.

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Hello all, I just ran the update and now up to the current version. When I tried to update my controller it failed, unable to find the updateFirmware.py script. Did I miss something? I searched for this file and its not in the brewpi folder.

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

I was able to reboot using 'sudo reboot now'. Thanks. Unfortunately, I'm getting the same error that IanJ is, as well as the script not starting. The one thing I did add was a Tilt. Previous installation did not have that.

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

reboot has same affect. Still getting error of script not starting, nor listing devices. My wiring setup has not changed since it was using the old brewpi

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Hello all, I'm back at this. Trying to upgrade my old setup to the remix. I have a new SD card, and followed Headless Raspberry Pi to get my raspberry squared away. Then I moved over to BrewPi Remix Install. All looked good from my point of view as it appeared everything installed...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

I agree, its driving me crazy and I'm in IT!! The Pi is a 2B. I was having these network issues before I moved it down to the garage where the fermenter is. On the old build I was running, before the upgrade, I didn't have lag issues. I'm wondering if the drivers need to be changed for the...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

I upgraded up to Raspbian GNU/Linux 10 (buster) for this rebuild. The switch to 2.4 didn't change anything so going to turn 5g back on. I typically get 50% packet loss on pings, with replies ranging from 8ms-1100ms.

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Thanks, it always helps when starting a project over to be sure all your devices are setup! While the temp probes were, my heating and cooling devices were not. Once I set those up, I was back in action. Now to resolve the network stability issue. I've disabled my 5g network to see if that...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

I'm still having the bad lag issues, sometimes I can't even ping it. But! I was too anxious to get a batch going with it, so here goes! I set up a beer profile and have applied it, but my idling is just getting longer. For some reason its not getting triggered by my wort or chamber temp. It...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Great, I re-flashed my SD card and started a new. I added ssh and the wifi via the headless Pi app. Once I plugged it into the pi, it had noticeable lag in all the prompts. Login, password, etc. Something is def bogging the connection down. Have you experienced that? When I open the site...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Thanks Lee, I was able to grab all my csv's! When I ran the upgrade script, I received a 404 on tmpUpdate.sh. I ran this: pi@brewpi /home/brewpi $ curl -L upgrade.brewpiremix.com | sudo bash % Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Thanks for the work you have put into updating this. I have been running the old script since 2017. Before I attempt this update, what will happen to my saved beer profiles? I have a different one for each type of yeast strain.
